Why do I have to be like this?

Why can't I just be a girl?

Why can't I be normal?

But since I'm not normal I'm confused

now I wonder Why again

Why can't I just exist?

Why do they call me a girl?

Why do I have to go by girl for anything other than 'Girlfriend'?

I love the word girlfriend as it roles off of my loves lips

I love her so much and she knows that I'm not a girl but loves me still

though I hate when I am called a baby girl by my grandmother

the one who knows I'm not a girl but refuses to admit it

I wonder why again

Why does my grandma not love me like she did?

Why can't I scream out "I'm Polygender" without having to fear my life?

Why can't I show the world my gorgeous girlfriend without having to worry?

Why is the world we live in, the one commonly known as wonderful, 

so broken?
