"... Yoongi..?"
...
The two boys sat on Jimin's bed in silence. Neither one of them could bring themselves to say anthing. Yoongi had a million thoughts running through his head. He thought about how the younger looked so cute in a skelton onseie even though he honestly never saw these things back home. To him, Jimin looked really adorable and squishable and ... you get his point (I hope)
"So-" They started but stopped immediately upon hearing the other speak.
"You first." Yoongi offered. Jimin gave a small short nod and began to speak.
"You said you would come back... but, don't you only change on the night of the full moon?" Yoongi nodded, this was true, he did only transform on those nights. But... He wanted to see Jimin -
"Yes, Jimin, I'm aware I just... I wanted to see you.." Yoongi muttered the last part - not really wanting Jimin to hear it.
"Y-you m-missed me?" Jimin asked looking up at the older's face. Yoongi smiled softly at the younger, running a hand through his hair he said: "Yes, I missed you." The younger smiled widely, his eyes squishing up into crescents. Yoongi couldn't help but coo at the sight.
Jimin's smile faltered as he remembered about the basement.
"Yoongi..," Jimin trailed. "Yes?"
"C-could you help me with something."
"Depends on the-"
"Come with me." He pulled Yoongi from the bed and practically dragged him down the stairs to the basement door.
"Ji- Jimin why are we going down here?"
"My mom's stuff is in here. But I'm scared to go alone..." Jimin sighed. "If you don't wanna help I'll just wait til Namjoon gets home and he can help me." Yoongi shook his head. "No no, I'll help.. Just.. What are you looking for?"
"I'm not sure what it's called but I'll know it when I see it.."
He placed a shaky hand on the knob and twisted it pushing the door open.
"After you," Jimin insisted. Yoongi didn't argue, going down the dimly lit wooden steps followed by Jimin. The younger was scared of what he would find down here.
Jimin hopped off the last step and took in his surroundings. It looked like your regular old basement but it had several bookshelves against the walls, some books were messily thrown on the sheleves - other books were neatly stacked and other books were stacked on the ground - those were the books that didn't fit. There were serveal taped up boxes and several opened boxes. Paper litered the walls - pinned up on bullitin boards or taped to wall itself. Jimin reconised his mother's handwriting on some of the papers and then noticed the others were newspaper articles. Books, pens, pencils, papers, and other stuff were scattered across the table his mother used to sit at.
This was where his mother would spend most of her time while Jimin was at school or across the street at Jin's - back in high school of course.
Yoongi turned to Jimin, concern written on his face when he noticed the younger's face was paler than normal.
"Jimin..?" He walked to the younger and went to pull him in for a hug - to comfort him of course - but Jimin flinched away from the boy. Yoongi's expression saddened. He didn't know what he did.
"Jimin, are you okay?" Jimin didn't answer his question he only stood there, expressionless. He wasn't able to move, he felt consticted and the memories he tried so hard to forget were coming back to him.
"Mom it's getting late-"
"Then go to bed."
"But mom-"
"JIMIN I SAID GO TO BED!"
"I'M WORRIED ABOUT YOU DAMMIT! ALL YOU DO IS SPEND TIME COOPED UP IN HERE! I ALMOST NEVER SEE YOU! YOU DON'T SHOW UP AT WORK ANYMORE, YOU DON'T TALK TO ME ANYMORE, AND YOU SURE AS HELL DON'T CARE FOR ME ANYMORE! DO YOU EVEN LOVE ME?!"
Jimin had regretted saying that as soon as it left his mouth.
"Jimin.. Honey, of course I love you.."
"If you did love me then you wouldn't hurt me, you wouldn't neglect me.. You wouldn't..-"
" I am your mother-!"
"A piss poor excuse for one, yeah."
"PARK JIMIN!"
"If you need me, I'll be at a friend's. Don't try and find me." With that, he slammed the basement door, traveled upstairs and ran out of the house slamming the front door. He hadn't bothered to pack a bag or anything because he had clothes at Jin's house and other essentials. He knocked on the boy's do and was invited in immediately.
"Jimin? Jimin? Jimin?!" Yoongi shook the younger by the shoulder lightly.
"Y-Yoongi I-"
They heard a car door slam shut and they looked at each other.
"Yoongi hide. Now!"
Jimin ran up the stairs and to the front door, unlocking it and opening it.
He saw Namjoon keys in one hand couple of bags on each arm.
"Here, let me help," Jimin took the bags that litered the older's left arm and took them inside, Namjoon following him.
"So Jimin, how was your day while I was out?"
"Uhm... Boring. How was your day?"
"It was alright. I had no trouble finding everything we needed, so that's good."
"It is good."
It was silent for a few moments as they put everything in their places. After they finished Jimin was the first to speak
"I need to go to the bathroom." He went downstairs and into the basement, closing the door quietly.
"Yoongi!?" Jimin whisper shouted. "Yoongi!? Yoogi?!"
Jimin started searching around for Yoongi after not hearing a reply from the older. Jimin, after looking under the table, inside the closet and in the book piles for Yoongi - he sunk to ground and brought his knees to his chest.
What if Yoongi left? What if when he left someone kidnaped him? What if-?
"Jimin..?" Jimin lifted his head. His cheeks were damp and his eyes were filled with tears that dropped at a steady pace. His vision was blurry, he couldn't make out the figure knelt down in front of him.
"Jimin, I'm sorry.. I-"
It took him a moment but Jimin reconised the figure's voice.
"YOONGI!" He threw himself into the male's arms, wrapping his arms around the older's neck. Yoongi pulled Jimin away from him and wiped his tears.
"Jiminie.. What's wrong?" Yoongi ran his fingers through Jimin's hair, trying to calm him down.
"I- I c-couldn't f-find y-yo-you I - I - I - I was s-s-scared." Yoongi cupped Jimin's cheeks and stroked them with the pad of his thumb.
"Scared of what?" He asked. Jimin shrugged as more tears slipped down his cheeks - Yoongi didn't hesitate to wipe them away.
"L-Losing you.." Yoongi blinked. "Loosing me? What do you-?"
"I couldn't find you anywhere Yoongi! Where'd you even hide..?"
Yoongi stroked Jimin's head. "I.. I hide outside. Spare d-door behind the shelf."
Jimin remained quiet, so Yoongi spoke again.
"I'm sorry for worrying you, Jimin. I am. You said hide but you didn't say where.."
"Chim Chim, where'd you go?!" Jimin could hear Namjoon's voice upstairs.
"Oh no.. If Joon sees you he'll loose his mind."
"I thought you where home alone!"
"Hey don't get mad at me I was home alone but then he got home from the market."
"I'm sorry, Jiminie... I didn't mean to.. Just... You said you were here alone so I didn't think they would be back...so.. soon."
Yoongi's eyes widened at the figure standing in the door way.
"Yoongi what's wrong? What is ..?" He turned his head towards the door.
"J- Joon.. Hi."
Namjoon had never seen this man before, yet he had his hands all over Jimin.
"Jimin who is that?"
Jimin gulped. He never thought he'd have to tell his friend's.
"Namjoon... This is Yoongi, Yoongi this is Namjoon."
"Hey."
"Hi. Now why are you all over Jimin?" Yoongi looked down. Jimin was between his legs, a hand on his waist, one hand on the back of his neck, one of Jimin's hands on Yoongi's knee and the other one on his thigh.
They looked at each other and pulled apart immediately.
"I-I-I can explain-!"
"No need." He walked closer.
"Judging from Jimin's appearence.. You comforted him." He cupped Jimin's face. "Why were you crying?" Jimin placed his hands ontop of Namjoon's.
"N-not too important." He looked back at Yoongi. Expressionless as ever, Jimin thought.
"Let's just go inside and we can talk about all of this, yeah?" Jimin proposed. Yoongi nodded in agreement.
"Alright."
