After about an hour of walking, the girl checks her phone once again with still no signal and no sign of humans.
"It's high noon" she chuckles to herself as she keeps walking before noticing bee and starts swatting it away. Soon she bursts into a full-on sprint as the one bee becomes a swarm and keeps on following her. Why's it green! Why's it green! Why's it green! Why's it green! Why is there green bees?!
After running a short while, the girl slows down and eventually comes to a stop to catch her breath. "huff...I've not run … huff ... that much since… huff… well ever" but what were they? I've never seen anything like them before, what the hell are they?
After a couple of hours of walking, a dirt trail can be seen through the tall grass and so she and her plethora of bags start to make her way over to the path energetically. However before she makes it to the path, she crosses path with a hideous beast which looks like a furless 2 headed dog the size of a horse. What the hell? Is that a giant Orthrus. Am I hallucinating? It looked at me! It's looking at me! What do I do, it's staring right at me and looks mad. Okay, just stay calm and move away slowly and maybe It'll leave me alone.
The Orthrus slowly starts to turn its body towards the girl with a sound of cracking bones echoing out through the field. Its skin wrinkling and stretching as it turns. One head fixes its crimson eyes on her sending chills down her spine and she freezes on the spot. One of the Orthrus' mouth opens revealing rows of teeth like the mouth of a shark. Its tongue hangs from its mouth as drool drips out. Do I run? Do I stay still? Do I fight it? How do I fight it? Soon the second head turns to face her and after a brief moment, It charges. The girl braces herself. The beast moves like the devil which a look that could kill. Her eyes give a look of fear, of dread. Is this the end. The Orthus roars shack the ground around them. No. Bit by bit the space between them closes. I can still do something! There are but meters between them now. I may not kill it but I can at least give myself time to run. She swings her right hand, the one with the black case, and bashes ahead of the Orthus, knocking it into the other. She spins around with the case in hand and starts to run for the path. The Orthus stumbles and falls to the ground. The girl didn't look back and just kept on running down the path. As the Orthus begins to stand up again, it's left head still concussed from the hit, it starts to looking around but the girl herself is long gone. Her scent on the other hand still lingers.
Her pace drops after a while and soon she is barely able to keep up a pace of walking. Gasping for air, she still marches on, the heat, the fear, and the exhausted are getting to her as one thought plagued her mind. Keep moving forward. The ground starts to shack once again as the sound of a roar can be heard off in the distance but her focus is unhinged by that one thought. Footsteps gradually get louder and louder as the ground sakes. Keep moving forward. One more mighty roar is heard. One she cannot ignore. She stops dead in her tracks. The footsteps are getting louder. They are moving faster.
"Just stay down" she mutters to herself. Her expression turning enraged.
The footsteps are getting louder. They are moving faster.
"I've been through enough crap today." Her voice is clearer and her tone, sharp.
The footsteps are getting louder. They are moving faster. But then they stop as the Orthus leaps into the air.
"JUST STAY DOWN!" She screams as she spins around swinging her black case once again. A bright spark of orange emits from her arm as she swings. She smacking the other head of the Orthus, knocking it to the ground as the case cracks.
The Orthus just stays down in a pool of its blood. She gasps for air as she drops her case and collapses. No, get up. Get up. Get up. Her eyelids too heavy to stay open, her body too heavy to move, her bags, crushing her as she lay there.
