Moving into my “dream” college

I don’t have anyone else to tell this to, so I’ll just post it here. I am moving into a college that I didn’t care about going to. I ended up going cuz they accepted me and I just told my parents it was my dream college. I just needed to go to college to make everyone happy and proud of me, I don’t even know what I want to do. I’m undeclared right now. I am so unprepared for everything. I didn’t even pack up for moving in and I have to be at the uni in a few hours. I can do this shit and get it over with. Wish me luck?

After Jazmine posted that on Reddit, she laid on her bead and daydreamed about what her college would be like. She and her roommate would become closer and she would find a friend. She may even find a girlfriend, get over her heartbreak. She was so into her alternate reality, that she didn’t hear her mother walk in the day.

“Jazmine Carter, we have to leave in a few minutes why haven’t you packed? Get out of bed and get to packing. Please don’t tell me you’re taking this shirt, you don’t want people to see your chubby stomach. Get up. When I come back here in 30 minutes, your whole room better in those suitcases.” Jaz’s mother demanded.

“You’re doing three much, we don’t even have to be there until six,” Jazmine mumbled under her breath

“Did you say something?” Jazmine shook her head in response to her mother. She always seems to hear when she mumbles perfectly, but when she screams “yes” to when her mothers call for her, she suddenly can’t hear.

Jazmine shoved the first things that she saw into her suitcases, hoping she doesn’t forget anything. Today was not the day she wanted to risk getting her ass beat. She is going to college, it’s a big day for her. She got in her car and rode off into the sunset, on her way to hell.

“Welcome to Appleville University, do you have the two passes? Great, do you know which room you’re dorming in? Great! You can get one of those little baskets things and you can just go to your dorm. Have a great semester! Oh, by the way, I am your RA and if you have any questions, you can come to me.”

He was really happy and nice, he also didn’t give her the time to respond to his questions, so all she did was nod her head.

“Jaz, be safe and make sure you call me when you need anything. Also, be careful when it comes to the food, you already gained a few pounds, don’t want to gain 15 more. Freshman fifteen is a real thing.” Jazmine’s mother said before she left for the car.

Jazmine gave her father a very awkward hug before telling him by “bye” and now Jazmine was on her own.
