The Fairytale Writer

Prologue

Prologue

Dec 01, 2019

“What if we could write our own fairy tales?” Rosalind asked her mother Snow White. Rosalind was 16 and next year it was said that there would be a fairy tale written about her. She would fall in love with some prince and live happily ever after. But this isn’t really what she wanted; she wanted to find someone and fall in love “naturally” as she would say.

“Oh… well, everything would be different, you see. For example, if it wasn’t for the system in here I might’ve never met your father and you might have never been born,” replied her mother. Now thinking like that it made sense the way things were, but what if someone from the bad families wanted, truly wanted to be good? It’s not fair that we don’t get to decide who we love, thought Rosalind.

In a land filled with magic there was once young princess who couldn’t quite fit in. “Shouldn’t we be able to write our own fairytales?” was her question, at least one of them.
