Emma woke from the dream. She was sweating like she was at the beach on a hot summer day. She looked at the time, it was 7:28 a.m. She took a long stretch and walked to the shower. 'I need to shave,' she examined her legs. She looked in her white, shiny suitcase for her shaver. 'Darn! I left it at home.'
"Lena!" she called out. "You got a shaver I can borrow??"
"Sure!" she replied. "I have an extra one too! So you can use that."
"Thanks!" Emma walked to Lena's room, she lent the shaver to Emma. She smiled and ran to the bathroom. She took off her clothes and tossed them into the hamper. She hopped in the shower and shaved, then cleaned herself. She wrapped herself in a maroon towel and changed into her outside clothes. She skipped downstairs and smelled the freshly cooked bacon on the stove, with sunny-side ups filled with almost popped yolk. Emma's mouth watered. As she took a step toward the breakfast, Aunt Melissa popped out of nowhere, then she gave her a tight squeeze.
"Good morning sunshine!" she greeted. "How well did you sleep last night?"
"I slept great, but I had this dream. I'll tell you guys at the table."
"Okay then, sweetheart!" she hugged her one more time. She was hoping that the dream she had didn't become real. She loved her parents so, and she would do anything to keep them alive. Her mom worked at the dentist, while her dad worked as an investment fund manager. She would have no one to take her in except for her aunt unless something happened to her. But she thought of the positive stuff they were doing. They could be camping, staying at a resort, or visiting her dad's family. 'I should call Sarah,' she thought. "Girls! Twenty more minutes til' breakfast is ready!" her aunt reminded. Emma decided to call her best friend in that time frame.
"Hey, girlie!" she exclaimed.
"Hey, Sarah!" she replied with joy. "How is your summer?"
"Er... I don't know, we haven't gone anywhere yet. But we might go to the Bahamas!"
"That's exciting! We should trade vacations." Emma and Sarah laughed.
"How's your vacation," Sarah pondered.
"It's fun... And weird."
"Weird, how?"
"So my cousins and I were in the forest at night, racing to find an owl. Whoever won, got the bigger bed, which I did. As I was looking for it, I stumbled across this abandoned house!"
"That's crazy!"
"But wait, there's more. When we were driving here and passed the Missouri state line, I saw this figure! I think it might be linked to the house I found! Also the dream I had last night... might come true."
"What was your dream about?"
"It was a long dream, but to make it short, my parents were driving home and they passed the Missouri line, they saw the shadow too. They stopped so my mom can get a good look, there was nothing there. Then she heard my dad scream and the figure sliced his throat. My mom stood there in shock when she was murdered.
"The person that killed them turned out to be a girl, a cannibalist. She ate my parents and called out to these other people that ate them too. But this one girl, she was apart of the tribe, she was a normal folk. She ate animal meat and vegetables. Her name is Hannah, and she's going to warn me about them... I hope this dream isn't real." Emma sat there silently.
"It's okay! I'm sure that's never going to happen." Sarah gave a reassuring look. "Its just a dream, Emma."
"But usually they happen! Like when my grandma died, I told you that..."
"Oh, sorry."
"I have to eat breakfast now, bye!"
"Bye!" Sarah hung up. Emma ran to the table and everyone was in their seats, waiting for her to sit down.
"Let us pray," Lynn started. They all held hands and prayed.
"Good everyone," Aunt Melissa said. "Now what was it that you were going to tell us, Emma?"
"Oh, okay." she looked around. "My dream started when my parents.." Emma got so deep into the story, everyone was intrigued.
"Oh no," Bella said. "We all hope that doesn't happen..."
"It's okay," replied Emma. They snarfed down their yummy breakfast.
"Mom!" Ari called. "May we go outside?"
"Sure!" she replied. "Go have fun! And be SAFE!!" The gang of cousins ran outside.
"Okay, now where is this abandoned house?" Nova questioned.
"No need to explain, just follow me!" Emma exclaimed. Everyone shrugged and smiled, then they all took off running.

They reached to the abandoned house. The roof had many holes in it, sticks of wood to cover the holes and broken windows. They stepped inside the dusty house. Coughing and wheezing, it was too dusty in there. They found old beds, books, utensils and more.
Then Emma walked into a room, but the door wouldn't budge. "Bobby pin, please," Emma put her hand out. Lena handed her the pin, and Emma unlocked it. Inside were so much murder weapons, from knives to razors, to morning stars and tasers. There was a bed in the middle of the room, covered in blood, some parts still clean.
"This could be a dungeon or a murder room," Emma predicted.
"This is scary," said Lynn.
"It's okay," Emma reassured. Nova went on her phone and searched what the room was called.
"This isn't an abandoned house," she inquired. "This is a small asylum. Before Milwaukee evolved, it was a pretty small town. Crazy people went here. Mostly cannibalists, like those in your dream, Emma."
"Oh, well. That's pretty cool." The house creaked, something else was inside of there. They all huddled together, each of them grabbing a weapon for defense. Then came footsteps. The girls ran out of the house in speed. Once they reached their yard, they sworn to each other, to not tell Melissa.
