I stare down at my reflection in the pool                                                            Still scared in the end                                                                                                  But I take a breath and jump into the pool

There are so many colors now                                                                                  Bright blinding colors                                                                                                  At first so beautiful but so painful

I sink farther down still wondering what might happen                                      Now there are images spiraling by                                                                          but I'm not ready to see them and start to cry

I sink deeper and deeper until it gets warmer                                                      The colors are calming and the images are soft                                                  Then I see her and feel okay 

The girl who makes me feel safe                                                                          The girl who makes me feel happy                                                                        The girl who makes me feel warm

The girl I love with all my heart                                                                            She now guides me through the darkness                                                          The darkness that is my past
