“What happened to Luna is not your fault,” Dad said, noticing the remorse in Sol’s face while staring at his twin brother.
“I should have listened to him,” Sol angrily muttered. “Every time I forced him to date, he ended up getting hurt.”
“You only want what is best for him,” Dad said, understanding his actions. “But Luna will be fine with just the two of us.”
“I thought Lei was different…” Sol clenched his fist in anger.
“She is different,” Dad seriously stated. “You and Luna should stay away from people like her.”
“Luna was happy with her until she transformed into a crazy bitch!” Sol slammed a trembling fist on his knee in deep frustration. “Why do women want to hurt Luna?”
“People like Lei will always want to hurt Luna and take him away from us,” Dad said those words with graveness that made Sol uneasy.
“Why will they do that? What will they get from Luna?”
Before Dad could reply, a familiar black sedan rushed to their left and crashed to their car, pushing them off the road, past the railings, and into a huge tree.
Sol immediately shielded Luna with his body as the impact destroyed the car door, tossed them out, and sent them rolling on the grass-covered ground.
Dad was left inside the car for he was wearing a seat belt and he was stuck between the driver’s seat and the steering wheel. The airbag lessened the shock, but the collision still rendered Dad unconscious and thick crimson blood frighteningly trickled from his forehead.
“No… Dad…” Sol rushed to the passenger seat and released his father from the seat belt.
“I’m fine,” Dad muttered as he opened his eyes. He was obviously hurting but his concern was not for himself, but for Luna. “Protect your twin. Don’t let him touch Lei.”
Sol glanced at the black sedan that crashed into their car. Lei walked out of there, unharmed. Sol wondered how that tiny woman freed herself from the ropes Dad had securely tied around her body.
“I will kill you…” Sol heard those cold words being uttered by his twin brother. He gazed at Luna and was bothered.
His twin brother was getting on his feet while glaring fiercely at Lei. His pupils changed from dark blue into a glowing milky white color, as if his eyes were reflecting the moon.
“I WILL KILL YOU!!!” Luna angrily bellowed as he sprinted towards the woman smiling triumphantly at him.
Sol ran and intercepted his twin, but the moment he touched Luna, a jolt of electricity shocked him, throwing him a few meters away. He dropped and rolled on the ground, trembling from the shock.
“LUNA, STOP!!!” Sol yelled as loudly as he could but Luna was oblivious of him.
Sol shakily got up and tried to intercept his twin again, but he was too far from him and his pace was not that quick.
Luna stretched his hands forward but before he could grab Lei by her shoulders, a beautiful woman in white overcoat dashed from out of nowhere and stood between Luna and Lei. Her hands were spread-out, left hand touching Lei at her chest while the right one tapped Luna on the forehead.
The moment her hands made contact with Luna and Lei, those two collapsed on the ground, unconscious.
“Luna!!!” Sol hurried towards his twin and felt his pulse.
“He’s fine,” the beautiful woman assured Sol. She looked exhausted. It seemed that the trick she used against Luna and Lei took a toll on her. “We need to hurry. This woman will move again in a few minutes.”
“My dad is still in the car,” Sol said as he carried Luna on his back.
“I’ll get him,” she said, tossing a car key at Sol. “You know how to drive, right?”
“Yes.”
“A white car is parked nearby. Wait for us in there,” the beautiful woman had said before running towards their father.
Sol searched for the white car and immediately found it. He unlocked the car and settled Luna beside the driver’s seat. He waited inside the car with the engine on, ready to rush away from there once his father arrived.
A minute had passed before the beautiful woman returned, supporting his limping father. Sol was grateful that his father was not seriously harmed by the collision.
After Dad and the beautiful woman settled inside the car, Sol steered out of that place as quickly as he could.
“Thanks for saving us, Jerami,” Dad gratefully uttered, sitting comfortably beside the woman.
“You know her?” Sol was surprised.
“Focus on the road, son. Let’s talk later,” Dad strictly commanded.
“Let’s go to my house. Luna is safer there than the hospital,” the woman suggested.
“But…”
“Jerami is a doctor. Just follow her directions,” Dad quickly interrupted, creasing his eyebrows in pain.
“Okay,” Sol sighed. “Where is your house?”
