Franklin Smith is a young elf with dark skin who looks like he's in his late teens and is dressed in rags. His head was shaved leaving a grey stubble on his head, his eyes were a dulled grey. He towered over most people and had well-defined muscles.
After a moment of talking with their backs turned to Alice and after a few moments have passed, Franklin walks up to Alice and says "I'll be seeing tomorrow, 9 AM in Sir Gotwald's office," in a deep and monotonic voice before giving a small bow and going on his way once again.
Alice and Gerald continued to walk on the gravelled path towards the mansion and enter through the grand front door. Upon entering the mansion the two are greeted by an old maid with long grey hair and a frilly maid outfit in black and white. After a quick bow Gerald tells her to take Alice to take her to the room she will be staying in. The maid nods and begins to escort Alice to her room.
The room is on the 3rd floor and is situated down the hall from Alex's room. The room itself was about 3 meters by 3 meters with a bed in the back right corner, a desk with a chair on the opposite side and some shelves above it. Just to the right of the door was another door can be seen and opening it reveals an on sweet complete with a toilet, sink, a shower and even a hand dryer that looked like it was from the old world. *This is like a hotel room and a nice one at that.* On the left of the door was a large wardrobe. *Wonder if this will take me to yet another world.* The floor was exposed wooden planks with not a single bump or scratch in sight. Alice's bags were placed on the foot of the bed. The walls were a light yellow colour and at the back of the room was a window with white curtains. *Okay time to take a look at the damage of all the crap I have with me.*
She takes her black case that she used to fight earlier and notices that the end was broken and covered in blood. She opens the case to reveal a packed up recurve bow with a wooden base and set of a dozen arrows carbon fibre arrows in red with red and black fletchings. "Well hello my darling, good to see that you're still fine," Alice begins speaking to her bow as she takes it out of the case and starts to assemble it, not realizing that Alex had just walked in "Did anyone touch you? No need to worry now that we're all alone," she tugs on the bowstring and studies the limbs as they stretch out before relaxing the bow.
Finally, Alex speaks trying to hold back her snickering, "Umm… I hope I'm not interrupting anything."
"WHAA!" Alice drops her bow on the table as she screams. "Don't scare me like that!"
"Sorry, sorry." Alex is still trying not to laugh, "Do I need to leave you two alone for a minute?"
"Oh haha very funny. Did you need something?"
"I came to see if you had settled in just fine. And I wanted to say thank you once again for what you did back there. If you weren't there then we may have lost some people. "
She does seem to care about the people that are below her, clearly, I'm not with the wrong people. "Well like I said I didn't do anything special and, well, I've never been in a fight before or had special training. I've never even seen a monster like that before."
"They're not common in the wild but surely you've seen one at a zoo?"
Alice shakes her head. "Nope. Only in books and fictional stories."
"Fiction? Do you mean that you had no idea they were real? I know you said you weren't from around here but still-" Alex's words trail off.
"Well, this is literally a new world for me. More interesting than the old one that's for sure."
"Okay, I need to clear this one up. What do you mean by this being a new world? It makes you sound like you're an alien."
Alice looks down and starts to fidget. "Well to give you the short version, I remember walking through the town I live on my way home after my music lesson and then I remember falling on the road. Next thing I know I'm here fighting a monster from Greek mythology and talking about magical crap that shouldn't exist. Burns don't just heal in just a couple of hours. At least they shouldn't."
"So magic is something new to you?"
Alice nods "Magic's never been real in my world, although the technology is far more advanced."
"And you also said that you only knew about what an Orthus was only through a myth, not any real stories or experience."
Alice nods again before raising her head up once again and begins to speak "I heard a voice in my head when I woke up. It told me to go to a place called the Kingdom of the Nanatsu no Kabe. Do you know anything about it?"
"The Kingdom of the Seven Walls. Yes, it's somewhere down south near the equator but you'll never get near it because -" Alice cuts Alex off sounding very confident.
"Let me guess because it's heavily guarded. I'd die before getting to the front door."
"Well, you're not wrong about that second part. The first part is kind of right. No one has been able to get near it for about a thousand years or so. Radiation is pretty poisonous."
"Radiation? That's not something we can get 'round so easily." she says with a heavy sigh.
"If you want some texts books on it and the great war that caused it then I can lend you some of mine from school. That should catch you up on everything you need. Though you may not want to trust everything you read," Alex exits the room at these words.
Alice slumps down in bed, "What a day."
