I woke up from my sleep to see a small wolf curled beside me—it was Celesty.
“Yan!! You’re awake!” my father exclaimed, moving to cuddle me, but my mother scooped me up.
“Long Yan! Don’t! Wash yourself first, or you’ll get our little Yan messy! Go wash yourself, dear,” she said, carrying me as we sat down to eat.
Celesty padded over to the table. My mother noticed but smiled warmly.
“What a cute little wolf, Yan. It looks like it was guarding you last night,” she said, kissing my forehead.
I kept quiet. Even though she doesn’t know, I understand. I won’t let anyone think I’m possessed. My duty is to keep my parents safe.
As the day passed, I asked Celesty how she knew where I lived.
“I sensed your aura intertwined with theirs,” she explained. “And I noticed the invisible thick cross barrier protecting them, like the one you used earlier. That’s how I confirmed they’re your parents.
All Ancient Beasts can shift forms, and Heavenly Beasts can change appearances entirely.”
“Heavenly Beast? What’s that?” I asked, remembering God’s room hadn’t mentioned this.
“You’re too young for that explanation. Soon, you’ll know,” she said calmly.
“Umm… nod”
“Yanyan! Yanyan!!”
“Yeah, sorry Celesty. I just remembered something.”
“Okay, but first undo your mirror magic over the village. I already killed the spies, but some merchants are still lost.”
“Ah, right…” I undid my mirror magic. Swoosh. The villagers became visible again, unaware of the previous concealment.
I returned home riding Celesty, feeling strangely reassured.
When I arrived, my parents were going about their day—but they couldn’t see me. I had cloaked both Celesty and myself using Invisivobaltile, and also cast Imagery, creating afterimages to mimic our presence elsewhere.
The raid had only lasted five minutes. I had already devised the perfect strategy. Celesty’s support made it seamless. When I saw the last enemy fall with my Invisible Air Slash, I felt a rush of relief—the first real relief since I gained awareness of my powers.
Celesty noticed my emotions.
“Yanyan, you’re still four years old. Your knowledge surpasses mine, so there’s little I can teach you. Remember this: a strong person must act with kindness and willingness.”
Her words reminded me of God. Why did God reincarnate me here? Was it because of my past life? Or my potential?
“Yan.”
“Yeah, Celesty… I’ll follow your advice.”
“Ummu…”
Celesty’s POV
I am Celesty, one of the most fearless Ancient Beasts, a Fenrir, and the youngest genius of my clan. My family consists of seven: parents, two elder sisters, and two younger brothers.
Ancient Beasts were originally humans, gifted with unique skills allowing them to evolve. One day, I encountered a group of Black Dragon Ancient Beasts, known for their savagery.
They attacked me—six against one. I dodged, blocked, and countered with my cultivation-enhanced skills, but two trapped my feet with Sealing Thunder Technique, injuring me.
Three of them swarmed, and two used Poison & Paralysis Magic, sealing me further. I was about to collapse, but my Spatial Ring glowed, opening a hidden scroll and transporting me into a cave—where I met Yan Yan.
At first, I assumed he was just a child. But then… he spoke.
Not only did he claim he could heal me, he actually could. He cloaked himself in mana and cast a barrier strong enough to withstand my full aura.
“How can a mere four-year-old say that? And to completely heal me!? WHO ARE YOU KIDDING, CHILD!?” I roared.
That’s when I realized: this child is different. He possesses a dual power system.
-
Cultivation (Ki/Qi system): Enhances his body, mana, and combat potential naturally, progressing through Mortal → Rebirth King.
-
System/RPG interface: Tracks stats (STR, AGI, MAG, VIT, MP), skills, levels, and titles, giving him abilities beyond his cultivation stage.
I saw his floating interface for the first time:
Level 52 | STR 800 | AGI 700 | MAG 900 | VIT 750 | Skills: Hypnotysiem, Teleportation, Invisible Air Slash
Cultivation Stage: Core Formation Level 2
Titles: Beastter, Prodigy
He can weave system skills with cultivation techniques, combining them seamlessly. Invisible Air Slash (System) + Ancient Shadow Magic (Cultivation) → an attack multiplier impossible for a normal cultivator.
I couldn’t let him die. As he exhausted his mana healing me, I made a pact, linking our mana. A golden mark appeared on his hand, confirming our bond.
From that moment, we became partners for life. He isn’t my tamed beast; we are equals, united by power and destiny.
