Okuyuki Chimeitanken point of view

I woke up to some tubes attached to me and my father there staring at me.

"D-dad?" I said, going to wave me hand in his face, but my shoulder restrained me from the pain.

"Agh." I groaned in pain.

Apparently my father fell asleep with his eyes open, but then he blinked and hugged me gently, making sure not to hurt me.

"I thought you were going to die." he said, as his voice cracked.

But that wasn't on my mind.

"Dad, where's Satsujinishi?" I said.

"O-oh, your friend. He's next door." he replied.

I got up, ignoring the large pain in my leg. Limping to the door, letting the tubes and needles rip off of me, but my Dad held me back.

"Son, I'm sorry." he said.

"D-dad, please." I said, as emotions came flooding.

"He's in coma." he replied, pulling me in.

I started to cry, if I had been quicker or maybe double checked those guys for weapons, this wouldn't have happened. I collapsed to the floor out of my father's arms, tears streaming out, not caring.

"I'll leave you alone for a while." he said leaving the room.

I wasn't ready to lose someone else, not yet. This was my fault, maybe it would have been better if we weren't friends after all.

I wiped my tears, still mentally unstable, but I went into his room anyways. I saw to elderly people, who were probably his grandparents. One seemed to be patting their face with a clothe.

The grandfather came to me with his cane and shook my hand.

"And who are you?" he asked.

"I-i'm Satsujinishi's classmate," I replied, feeling my tears push at the back of my eyes at the sight of Satsujinishi on the hospital bed.

"Could you be the one that saved him?" he asked.

"W-what do you mean?" I asked.

"If you hadn't carried him as quick as you did, then he would have died, he may be in coma, but it is better than having his dead body." he replied.

Then I couldn't hold it in. The tears started to fall, and the old man patted me on the shoulder.

"Would you like to see him?" he asked.

"Yes, please." I responded, wiping more tears.

He walked me to the hospital bed as he retreated back next to his wife in the visitor seats.

I knelt down and held his hand, it was colder than the last time I felt it. This broke me. I probably cried more then than I did with him before, and the nurses that came in didn't bother to pull me back to my hospital bed.

After at least three hours I was really dehydrated and had no more water to make tears, but that is when my Dad came and gave me some water. Satsujinishi's grandparents had gone back home.

"The nurses said you'll probably have to stay here for a week or so." he informed me.

I stayed silent, to try and not cry again.

"Are you hungry?" he asked.

I shook my head.

"Okay, but if you need anything then call me and I'll be there, but I have to go back to work for now."

I nodded my head and he left.

I took a few deep breaths and pressed Satsujinishi's hand against my lips. I took it off and stood up.

"I'll be back tomorrow." I said looking back at Satsujinishi as I turned to leave.

Before I left I turned back to look at him one last time until tomorrow. His eyes twitched and I ran back to him, ignoring my leg pain again. I looked at him again.

"Satsujinishi?" I said like it was a question.

His eye twitched and I ran out to find a nurse.

Two delinquent looking high school boys find each other when one almost falls off of the school roof. The sensitive and self kept Okuyuki(Shy-snow, because his hair is white) Chimeitanken(Deadly-daggers because it looks like he is always glaring at everyone[even though he isn't] which some people sometimes say "They're glaring daggers at me.") and the kind and protective Bakuyoroko(Explosion-[of]-joy) Satsujinishi(Murder-intent[because he is so tall and intimidating he looks like he might kill someone]). As destiny guides them into conflicts and odd coincidences, shaping their relationship whilst also introducing new relationships, and tragedy.
FYI:
This takes places in Japan, so students are called by their last names, so Okuyuki would be called Chimeitanken, and Bakuyoroko would be called Satsujinishi, but only close friends and family are likely to call each other by first names. So you can see why people would think they're delinquents.
