I've been trying to stay positive 

But it's hard I mean

With all the negativity on the news

School shooting after school shooting

personally I'm tired of standing by 

And watching kids die

When no one knows why

Not even the shooter

These kids, some not even old enough to ride a scooter

Imagine getting that call from a doctor

Telling you your kid got shot up at thier locker

Got everyone blaming the gun seller

But that's only part of them problem

I'm not gonna claim to know how to slove em

At least not alone

See if bullying stopped

The number of shootings would drop

If we made guns unavailable

That'd be the best option on the table

But since that's near impossible

Why not go to the heart of the problem

The heart of the shooter 

The mind of the shooter

So Dear School Shooter

I don't pretend to know what you been through

But if it's pain your feeling 

Just know that I've been there

And if it's bullying 

Know that I've been there

If you feel like no one cares 

Know that I've been there

If you don't know why and you're confused 

Know that seeing those dead bodies won't clear your blues

You might be surprised to know I've been in your shoes 

I was bullied and had thoughts of them laying dead in my head

It was scary but it made me wary enough to get help

You see 

I asked God and he saved me 

And if you ask God he'll save you 

Just trust me

Death is not the way to go

I don't want your soul to get lost in the chaos

God will save you like he saved us

The Devil speaks lies

While God speaks truth

The Devil preaches hate 

While God preaches love 

And when it comes to push and shove

He will be the one in your corner

So have faith and don't falter

Cuz when you look up at The Altar

You'll see the man that died 

For You 

Sacrificed his life 

For You

So don't let his death be in vain

After all 

Only he can take away your pain
