Greer, Dewi, and Blake were sitting at the dining table. Greer had ordered Chinese from their fav place, Blooming Lotus, and it had already arrived. She made sure the plates were out and ready to go. “Ok, so got Luce’s fav and Sato’s too… Got the drinks and hopefully they will be good and calm while we explain things. And I took MY pill, just in case.”

Blake looked at the jacket, she had refused to take it off after she cleaned it up. “...Maybe you should put that away?”

Greer pulled it a little tighter around her. “When he asks for it back or I drop dead.”

Dewi smiled, it was cute seeing Greer act like this. “And when it’s all done, we can go over proper conduct young lady for a first date.” He was a bit nervous over this, but was hoping to relax Greer at least so when Johnson did call, it would be fine.

That’s when they heard the door open and Greer started serving rice up. “Hey guys! Wanted chinese tonight, got what you like!”

“Well, this is awkward…. Sato picked me up so we brought pizza home.” Luce walks in with two large pizza boxes with Sato following behind, carrying the sodas.

Greer looked at the sodas and sat down. “Ah… no soda’s for me please… I had...a lot sorta.”

Blake took over and started getting the pizza. “Ah! Don’t worry, Just means we get to have a junk food night is all. Greer your boba is over there.”

Dewi looked to Luce and Sato. “We wanted to treat her, she had a um, interesting day.”

Greer sat down with her boba and started grabbing some food, trying to be careful with the jacket. “It wasn’t all bad….” And there was the red flag.

“Oh ...?” Sato sets the bottles down on the table. “Am I correct to assume that means your powers activated?”

Greer sighed. “Yeah…. It was kinda a mess at the store.”

Blake spoke up quickly. “Officer Cutie finally called her. And things got interesting from there.”

Dewi grabbed a slice and an egg roll. "Yeah like they happened to be in the same store while wearing the amazing outfit I picked out." He sighed and sat down. “The perfect outfit was ruined by a tidal wave of soda when they realized and saw each other face to face.”

“Oh, that’s nice…. When are we going to be introduced to him?” Luce seemed distracted as he grabs glasses out for drinks.

Greer took a sip of her drink. “He tried to shield me but it was a bit late… corner store might need a few days to clean up… every can and bottle fell. But I have a date for Saturday.”

“Mmhm….. So where are you two meeting up? If you need a ride, I can take you. It’ll give me a chance to meet the young man taking our Princess on a date.” Luce wasn’t letting go meeting this one after what happened before.

Blake looked to his brother. “I don’t think we need to do all that. I mean, Greer found out he tried to get a hold of her when he found out from the other cops about the tennis incident. Wanted to make sure she was okay. Sounds like an alright guy. Her luck just kept him from getting a hold of her sooner.”

Greer grabbed a spring roll herself. “And I don’t need a ride. He doesn’t live that far from here…”

“Okay, just bring him around to meet the family some time if it gets serious…. I mean, you got to meet my boyfriend.”

Greer rolls her eyes. “I met him first, so technically I met Sato’s boyfriend.” She smiled a bit and snuggled a bit in the jacket. This was going well!

Dewi smiled as well. “Well you know, we know of him already. Because there is a funny coincidence with him and Greer they found out on her way home to get cleaned up.”

Blake nodded. “Yeah, it looks like he’s the cop the landlord told us about. Funny thing, yeah?”

“Quite interesting……” Sato chimes in. “I wonder what the odds of that are…..” He quickly devolves into mumbling to himself, trying to figure it out.

Greer let out a breath, Sato was out figuring out numbers. “Yeah, he was going to offer to give me a hand but I didn’t need it and we both ended up at the apartment… he was so worried about it looking weird he showed me his driver’s license. So I mean… it’s all good you know?”

Dewi tried to give her a quick signal to cut off the conversation before Luce started thinking about it too much.

Greer nodded back and drank her tea. “Oh um he should be calling back soon… so when he does I’m gonna go talk to him ok? We need to figure out the details.”

At that moment, her phone rang and she quickly went to her room and closed the door, leaving the boys alone. Dewi smiled a bit to Luce. “Well… overall good day for her I think.”
