Little toddler Hannah was at the table watching the others eat. She wouldn't even eat her food.
"Eat your food!" the child commander scolded.
"No! This is wrong!" She pushed her plate off the table. The little boy stood up with fists against the old, splintered wood.
"Wrong?! How?!"
"Wow.. you don't even realize? This is human meat! Have you ever noticed that you're a human too?!" Everyone fell quiet.
"You do not question our meals like that! Yes, we may be like them, but we are different."
"Ugh, whatever." Hannah walked off to her little tent that her family lived in. They were outcasts. They didn't eat humans. Only animal meat and berries. Her stomach rumbled. It was time to hunt, but her parents weren't back yet.
She walked to the adult cafeteria and found her parents there. They weren't eating either. When they saw their daughter, they left to go hunting. Hannah loved hunting. She saw all these creatures. If she liked that animal, they wouldn't kill it. Hannah's mom, Giselle, found a bush of strawberries and her dad, Alex, found a wild boar. They grabbed things for a fire and cooked up the meat. Then they ate it all. It should last them a week or two.
The main leader found them eating their dinner. "Hannah, Giselle, and Alex. You must learn how to adapt to eating human meat." he said in a calm voice. "Or there will be a consequence..."
"Yes sir," Giselle and Alex said. Hannah just stood there in disagreement.
"Do you understand, Hannah?" the leader cajoled.
"Whatever," she ignored. She grabbed the leftovers and ran back into the tent.

The next day, Hannah walked to her school. Since they lived in a village, walking didn't take long. Hannah had no friends. Everyday, she kept socializing and socializing but never worked. She walked up to a girl and said, "Hello! My name is Hannah. Want to be friends?"
"Uh, no..." the girl groaned. "Why would I want to be friends with a girl that only eats animal meat? No thanks." Hannah hung her head low. The girl gave an evil grin and ran off to her group of friends. The old, bronze bell rang to go to class. Hannah would usually skip class because her teachers treated her differently from the other students. They hit her, yelled at her, give her bad grades, and even (like literally) dragged her into the office. When she told her parents that she skipped class, they were disappointed. They told her, "Life is going to throw things at you no matter what, so just embrace it."
As she walked to class, everyone gave her a dirty look. She sat down with her head on the table. 15 minutes into class and there was a loud bang. The intercom crackled as it turned on and initiated everyone to go on lock down mode level three. Everyone crowded into a hidden corner but forced Hannah out. "You know what?!" she howled. "I'm sick and tired of being treated like this! Yeah, I know I'm not like you guys, eating your own kinds meat, but I'm part of the tribe! We are all family, no matter what." The little children fell quiet, but then the little girl she tried to be friends with stood up.
"My name is Carla Lowrey, and I disagree!" she interjected. "I feel for one that we all must be the same! If you're apart of this tribe, then BE like us. Animal-Eater..." Hannah's blood started boiling. She was so enraged, that she ran up to Carla and pushed her down. This was a surprise to the others because there was never a fight during a real lock down. After being knocked down, Carla was on her knees then Hannah kicked her face then stomped on it.
*Bang! Bang!*
Hannah shoved the children in the crowd and sat in the corner of the room, leaving Carla motionless on the ground. The shooter saw Carla laying there and shot her. "Oh no..." she thought. "I-I technically killed someone." Everyone looked at her in shock.
"Y-You just," the teacher started. "I can't believe it... you just someone laying there. Instead of trying to HELP THEM?!"
"I-I'm sorry..." Hannah said. "It's not my fault she called me an 'animal-eater...' You guys need to respect one another..." Then she quietly cried in the corner.

When the police arrived, they arrested the criminal for murder. After they arrested him, they walked over with an extra pair of shiny, sliver cuffs in their pocket. "Hannah Brookes, may we talk to you?"
"Y-Yes sir..." she responded. They led her to a small confined room and sat in mahogany, fluffed chairs.
"So tell us... what did you see?"
"U-Um..." Hannah couldn't speak. Guilt was running through her veins. What was going to happen if she told them? Would she also be charged for murder? She started crying.
"Take your time," the officer said in a calm voice.
"Carla was being mean to me because I don't eat human meat... And-"
"Wait... did you just say.. human meat?"
"You're not from here, are you?" Hannah pondered.
"We are from small town Milwaukee... but please keep going."
"Okay... and then what happened was that the called me a really offensive name and I got really mad and we fought in the hallway. I heard gunshots and I ran back into the room... then... yeah that's what happened..."
"M'kay, thank you so much.." Then the officer changed the topic. "So what is this.. people, um... say... human meat?"
"Oh. Well we're a really small village and we don't have enough money to get animals when they're in the forest for free. We're also technically a tribe so we hunt other humans and they devour them, they're cannibals. My parents and I are the outcasts because we hunt for animal meat and berries. So yeah..."
"Okay thank you again.." the officer left the room in shock. He must report this to the station.

When Hannah celebrated her eighth birthday, she got freedom to be outside in the forest all day long. As she was skipping along the forest, she heard buzzing and booming sounds. As being herself, she became curious and followed the strange noise.
When she arrived, she saw them building a little tiny house. As she was watching them, the officer that she saw was there. She ran up to him to say hello.
"Well, hello little girl!" he said cheerfully.
"Remember me?" she asked.
"Hmm..." he was deep in his thoughts. "Oh, yes! I do remember you! Were you that one girl I interviewed after the shooting?" She nodded her head in agreement.
"What are you guys building?"
"We are building an asylum. For the cannibals. But you can't let anyone know, except for your parents... okay?" She nodded and ran off.

When she arrived, two old, woody and unstable gallows were in place. She started sweating very badly. She searched the crowd for her parents frantically. When she got to the front of the crowd, her parents necks were in the nooses. "Mom! Dad!" she cried.
"Its okay honey," Giselle said calmly.
"It will be alright." her father agreed.
"It's not going to be alright! I need... you guys..." she sobbed. Tears were in the family's eyes. They had such a great bond. The leader walked up there loud and proud.
"Hello fellow people of the tribe!" the leader said, as if he was the person leading an auction. "Here today we will execute two of our worst tribe members, and leave them at peace. We will take care of their daughter with some special treatment!"
"You won't take good care of our daughter!" Alex roared. "You'll just keep hurting her! She needs us at this age." The leader didn't even pay attention to one bit and ignored them.
"Whatever.." he mumbled. "Anyway... Let us turn back to the execution!" Everyone cheered. Hannah started sobbing. Some of the little kids ran up to her and started saying sorry. Then they ran away laughing. "The rules are, that if you don't walk off the gallow and hang yourselves, we will stab you til' your death. Understand?" They nodded. They didn't want to suffocate, they rather be stabbed. "Ready... set... go!"
The couple looked at their daughter, not moving. 'What are they doing?' she thought.
"Get moving, NOW!" the leader commanded. They still didn't move. He grabbed a knife and so did the others. "Okay, that's it! Everyone... STAB."
They all ran up to the family and started stabbing them. Screaming and crying and calling for help, Hannah just stood there. Watching her poor, suffering parents die right before her eyes. After the stabbing of her parents, the whole tribe ate their flesh til' it was white, hard bone. Hannah was horrified, she ran far away from the tribe. She didn't want to deal with them no more. She knew that they were going to abuse her, force her to do very bad things, especially hunt humans. And if she didn't obey them, she could be the next one to be executed. As being her smart self, she had a couple of smart techniques and tactics.

Ever since her parents death, she would always visit that kind officer's house for food and water, sometimes clothing, and a bed to sleep on. She would always visit him, until he died or moved away. Hannah, was independent from there.
