I felt my heart racing, the fact that I have to find Alex and my weapons aren't working the best. This isn't the best spot to be in but it's not like I have a choice.
Everything went South quick, how the hell could we have expected that!
Wandering the streets I can't seem to understand the gain from this. It had to have affected their troops too, considering the gunfire stopped.
Colin continued to follow the road, hoping it would lead back to Judas but it's not easy in such a big city. Meanwhile Jess and Joe continue to search for a way to contact Julia.
Team Charlie is split right now and it complicates a lot for their main headquarters.
About an hour later...
(Just barely outside Judas Court)
I have to be close...
I've been walking for so long, my feet hurt and I have no idea where to find Alex. This is starting to get frustrating and I'm starting to consider looking for Joe.
For a brief moment I stood there thinking of where the hell he could possibly be. Then I heard it.
Bang!
I heard a gunshot go off in the distance but right before I realized it, it had gone through my stomach.
Drip.
Gah.. it hurts..
I put my hand down to my stomach to stop the bleeding, but I can't stay in the open. I did my best to move as fast as I could to cover, it hurts so bad.
"Keep firing on that position!" Shouted a Sergeant in the distance.
I looked down at where the bullet hit and realized it went straight through. I gotta patch myself up immediately or I'm gonna bleed out, shit!
While struggling to cut pieces of my shirt off I finally managed to get what I needed. It'll buy me some time but not a lot.
I wrapped the cloth around me and tied it the best I possibly could, but it's difficult to do all this on my own. Damn it Alex, where are you...?
Slightly peeking to see what's going on, the guys who shot me continued to fire on my position. This isn't going good at all, I'm pinned with no way of fighting back.
Nothing's working!
"Colin!!!!" Shouted Alex as he vaulted over a broken window.
I just looked at him as he got closer and it took him so long to find me..
He finally reached me, surprisingly he didn't get shot? I'll be damned.
"Are you okay Colin?" Asked Alex as he ducked behind cover with me.
"I'm fine, just get me out of here." I answered.
Alex began to look around, looking for a way to go. The situation just got worse considering the state Colin is in.
(Alex's POV) A few minutes after finding Colin.
Alright I need to get him out of here.
I looked at his wound, damn he's got a limited amount of time to get help. We have to go now.
"Alright I'm gonna help you, give me your arm." I said as I began to stand up.
The gunfire stopped for the moment, something is off. We don't have a lot of time left though.
He reached his arm out and I picked him up while his arm is over my shoulders.
"Am I gonna die..?" Asked Colin as he coughed.
"You're gonna be fine Colin, I promise you that." I responded while carrying him.
Drip. Drip.
Shit! His blood seeped through the clothing. What the hell am I gonna do?
I need to find Joe and Jess. Then we can get the hell out of here, we don't have the capacity to keep going here.
At least for now we don't, that's the problem at hand here.
Several Minutes of walking later.
I still don't see the damn building we were at before. We have to be getting close though, it's gotta be closing in on us.
It was this direction and I know it.
We continued to walk for awhile longer but I could tell Colin was starting to lose consciousness. This is all sorts of screwed up.
But that's when I heard a whisper from a passing building.
"Alex get over here." Whispered the voice.
I barely heard that but I think it's a good idea. I brought Colin over there as quick as I could, hopefully this isn't bait.
Out from the darkness came Jess.
"Jesus, what happened? Questioned Jess while surprised.
"He was shot, and it's not looking good." I responded while sitting Colin down.
"About time you guys met up, we gotta get back to the Jeep." Said Joe while coming out from the shadows after seeing Colin.
"Holy shit, everyone's here. We gotta get back to headquarters." I said while looking down at Colin.
"Would it even start Joe?" Asked Jess while looking around.
"Just like the military we have our own way of keeping vehicles going, so let's go." Answered Joe as he began to walk.
About twenty minutes pass and Colin is just barely hanging on. (Just getting in the Jeep.)
"I'll keep pressure on his wound, just keep your rifle on hand Alex." Said Jess as she grabbed cloth.
She's actually putting pressure on his wound, normally she isn't the type to sit in the back and help like that. Whatever, we don't got time to sit around.
"Alright let's go!" Shouted Joe as he got the Jeep running.
We finally began to leave the city. It'll be a decent drive back but we can probably stabilize Colin until we get back. That's our best bet.
I sat back against my seat and looked out the window while holding my rifle. I'm glad I'm old school and don't use these newer guns.
But everything is surprising me now. I hope that doesn't change how Colin thinks, that normally us what happens after an injury like that.
Two hours later... (Finally approaching Omega Hall)
We finally arrived at the hall, but of course there will probably be problems here too. Since an EMP's range can vary from many different types.
"Alright we're here guys, get Colin inside immediately." Said Joe as he stopped the Jeep.
I quickly jumped out the passenger side and went to the back to help Jess with Colin. He's not doing good at all, the amount of blood he lost is crazy.
"Don't worry Colin, we're gonna get you some help." I said while picking up Colin's arms.
I put one of his arms over my shoulder while the other was over Jess's. This was a somewhat quick process that we had to get done or he would die.
We got him up the stairs as quick as we could and brought him inside.
"What happened to Colin?!?" Questioned Julia in shock.
"He was shot, more then likely by a powerful sniper. He needs immediate medical attention." I responded while holding him up.
"Okay follow me quickly." Said Julia as she led the way.
We followed behind her and eventually reached the medical bay, since it was the best we got. I sat him down on the bed and we left him there while the doctors came in.
"You think he's gonna make it?" Asked Jess while looking back at the medical bay.
"I think he will, but it's gonna be a tough recovery." I answered while looking over there.
This is why we fight.
