The thing that caused me to snap was in 1849 i was nineteen and my father was angrier and drunk as always. he began to punch me but i started to fight back and the father said ''you think you are a man now boy'' and we engaged in fisticuffs i lost control of myself and knocked him down and carved him up and took out his eyes. his blood spread all over the floor it was a horrifying sight and so i ran. and the next morning i had learned that the officers were looking to take me into questioning so i came in peacefully. they took me into their interrogation room and asked me about how my father died or if i killed him and i knew that he believed every word i said. so i left the station and knew i was not a prime suspect any longer
