*CONTAINS THE CRUTIARTOUS CURSE WHICH CAUSES PAIN, IT MAY UPSET SOME READERS SO READ AT YOUR OWN DISGRESSION*
It had been a week since Draco had received that dreaded letter; It had been a week since Narcissa had begun planning a funeral; It had been a week since his father's death.
Harry had taken him to Hogsmeade to buy a suit for the occasion. Draco's suit was a light shade of grey with an emerald green tie and hankie. Harry wore a matching suit and somber expression. Draco stared into Harry's eyes as he fixed the blonde's tie, "Thank you," Draco whispered startling Harry, "for everything you've done for me this past week, I couldn't have asked for a more affectionate shoulder to cry on." Harry gazed into Draco's eyes seeing the vulnerable 1st year from Madam Malkin's before the pains of the Wizarding World took hold. "It was all I could do, I gave you the help that I never got." Draco's eyes began to well with tears, Draco bowed his head to hide his emotions. Harry caught Draco's chin, pulling Draco's attention to his face. Draco's hands rose form his side and entangle themselves in Harry's ebony hair. Harry's free hand caught Draco's waist and drew him closer until they were millimeters away from each other. Draco lowered his head, connecting their lips. It was rough and unpracticed but overflowed with emotion. Draco felt an overwhelming relief as the stress and tension of the week. Their lips pieced together perfectly, unbreakable until-
"AAAAAAAH!" There came a cry from the doorway. Harry and Draco instinctively broke their kiss and whirled around to see the source of the cry. A very pale and distorted Narcissa stood in the doorway. "Mum!" Draco called in surprise, "Are you alright?" Draco's mother stared at her son and his Gryffindor who were still clinging to each other. A figure loomed out of the shadows to stand beside Narcissa. "What are you doing, Draco?" the figure's voice boomed through the room, "What is Potter even doing here?" Harry shrunk away from the acidity of his name on the stranger's tongue. Draco's face became paper white as he peeled himself away from Harry to get a closer look at the figure.
"Crabbe...?" Draco stumbled back with surprise, "I- we thought you were- you know- gone!" Crabbe smirked, he had thought he was dead too. In fact, he wasn't entirely sure how he had managed to scramble out of the burning Room of Requirements. All he recalled form the incident was: climbing up the towing furniture; losing his footing; falling backwards into the hands of the flames; then something pulling him upwards and out of the room. He had been dropped into the Black Lake and washed up on the shore moments after the battle was lost and won. He had managed to gain some strength and had fled into the shadows until he could return at full potential. "So did I, but here I am." Crabbe took a step closer to Draco, causing him to fall backwards into Harry's arms, "I hope you don't mind my uncertainty, but why exactly did I just walk in on?" Draco and Harry turned 50 shades of pink before Harry answered Crabbe's question. "Times have changed since we last saw you, Crabbe. Draco and I gave literal meaning to the phrase 'kiss and make up' and we left our pasts where it belongs, behind us." Harry's voice was stern and commanding. Crabbe's smirk slipped from his face, he hadn't heard Potter talk in such a way to him before now. "Let me guess, you let him walk all over you, Draco, because you never got to be friends in first year?" Crabbe taunted the Blonde without holding back, "How touching!" Draco's rage exploded causing adrenaline to course through his veins. "How dare you!?" Crabbe stumbled backwards and into the wall as Draco advanced on him, "Who do you think you are, coming into my house and start criticizing my relationship after you've been in hiding for nearly over 7 months!" Crabbe cowered away, attempting to pass through the wall. "Whatever, puff! Next time you want to threaten me, don't do it in front of your mother's 'innocent' eyes!" Crabbe laughed in Draco's face and pushed him as side, "Now! If you don't mind, I will be on my way... after all, there is a funeral to attend in a few hours and I wouldn't want to be late for such an event." He stormed out of the house, slamming the door as he left.
Draco turned to his pale faced mother, who was still staring after their unwanted guest. "Why was he here?" Draco asked his mother, cautious of the tone he used. "I don't know... he said that he needed to talk to you, dear, and I had to react as I did when we walked in so that he wouldn't do anything to me. Please forgive me for my cowardice, Harry." Narcissa addressed her boys with sympathetic eyes. "It's okay, Mum, we understand and would have done the same when it comes down Death Eaters." Harry replied, Draco nodded in agreement. The three of them stood in silence for several minutes. "Well... we have to hurry along now, we have to leave at 11:30 to reach the church at 12. Please make sure you have all that you need and be downstairs in 10 minutes." Narcissa ordered, taking control of her features before she hurried back down to the kitchen. Draco's face was stained with the pain of bitter memories. "Don't dwell on the past, Draco. Come on, we've got to get our stuff together." Harry put a reassuring arm around Draco before steering him towards their bed where thy had laid out all of their things. They began to pack their bags, preparing their minds for the struggles that the day would bring...

Draco and Harry had stayed behind, after the burial, to lay down fresh flowers 'In memory of Lucius Abraxas Malfoy; a loving Father, Son and Husband.'
Harry held Draco close, "Only time will heal the wounds of today." he whispered, causing the blonde to tear up once again. It had been a truely emotional day for Draco. He had never been close to his father but he had never wished death upon him... He could never have done that to his mother. They stood, entangled in each others embrace, while unspoken promises passed between them.
Suddenly, a spell coursed towards them, narrowly missing Harry's head. They reached for their wands only to be stopped by two disarming charms. Draco and Harry were thrown in opposite directions both hitting the ground with a simultaneous "THUD!" A masked figure stalked towards Harry, freezing him with a powerful "Petrificus Totalus!" Draco scrambled to his feet and flung himself at their attacker, only to be thrown back by a spell so powerful that it rendered him unconscious. Neville Longbottom weaved through the headstones, chanting spells in an attempt to un arm the masked figure. When Neville was within a meter of the stranger, he was hit with a ruthless "CRUCIO!" and he fell to the ground withering in excruciating pain. People began to rush towards the torturous scene. Within seconds of Neville's downfall, the attacker diaperated taking Harry with him.
Moments later, the attacker and Harry aperiated into a dark room much like that of the Hogwarts Dungeons. Harry began to feel the affects of the spell wear off; his attacker took advantage of this and lent down to Harry's face. He whispered, "Don't worry, Potter, you'll be safe... for now. I hope I caused enough hassle, after all, you did say that this would be 'A day to remember, but one to forget', did you not?"
The menacing voice laughed and laughed and laughed as Harry sank further and further and further into the darkness of his mind...
