The soldiers were guarding that makeshift camp in the middle of nowhere. Luna couldn't sleep, she just pretended, she was very restless, there were too many emotions for a single night. Colonel Jeremiah's companions were playing cards, then it was Hipólito's turn to take care of the place.
"Hippolytus." - Luna whispered.
"Shouldn't you be sleeping?"- Hippolytus asked
"I can't. Do you think everyone in the cell died?" - Luna said
"Probably. They were already condemned." - answered Hippolytus
"How can you be so numb?" - Luna replied
"I am a soldier, remember? I have seen worse things. Believe me, you are a very lucky person. Now try to sleep, there are still four hours to go until we reached Beatrice, your older sister. Just so you know she is blonde and blue-eyed, similar to the angel Gabriel, so her middle name is Gabriela. - Hippolytus said rolling his eyes.
"It seems you don't love her very much." - Luna smiled.
"I don't care, that's the description my parents gave to everyone. My beautiful sister and I the firstborn son who will bring glory to the family, so I am a soldier." - Hippolytus said woth a bitter tone
"Is your sister married?" - Luna asked.
"She is a widow, her marriage didn't last more than a year. Her husband died in a very tragic accident on a ship that carried gold to the peninsula. Since then she swore to never love another man."
"She must be sad."
"At least her husband left her property. We recommend her getting into a convent but she preferred a life away from the city. She was always a little different. I suspect"- Hipólito said
"Do you suspect...?" - Luna raised an eyebrow.
"Whatever." - Hippolytus looked up at the sky- "t is already dawn, and it seems that you couldn't sleep."
"I still feel the smoke in my lungs and that smell of burned meat. I don't know how you could sleep." - Luna replied
"I already know that feeling from before ..." - Hipolito said as he touched his wrist.
"Did you know? Among those who died was a man with coppery skin and black eyes like the onyx, he knew how to play and read the cards, he gave me his deck. He stared into my eyes and his eyes were like clouds. He told me that maybe in the future it would help me ..."
On the other side of the camp Jeremiah woke up, and watched them for a while. Then he made another fire to heat some water and added some small white flowers.
"For you, mademoiselle." - He told Luna - "It seems like you didn't sleep well. Don't worry a carriage is on its way to take you to your sister."
"Thank you my colonel. May I be accompanied?"
"If you are referring to Hippolytus, he must stay as part of the squad, I need more information about what happened." - Jeremiah answered
"Correct. I'll proceed to wait for the carriage. "- Luna said
The transport didn't take long to arrive, while Luna finished her infusion, and returned the glass of clay before leaving.
"Thank you" - she climbed into the carriage and the soldiers lost their way to the mountain. Definitely that infusion of white flowers calmed her, and made her sleepy again.
She was on a mountain and suddenly all the trees began to burn, she no longer had air. The flames became demons that chased her. Then an enlightened being appeared and gave hera drink.
"Are you an angel?" - Luna asked
"Unfortunately not, but I hope you're better. It seemed like you had a nightmare"- Luna looked for a long time at who was next to her, blonde hair, blue eyes. "Wait, Hipolito's sister, right ?! When did they arrive?"
"Gabriela?" - Luna said a little bit flustered
"I prefer Beatrice, sister. Calm down, you're safe". - She kissed her forehead, it was warm - "Nobody will hurt you. I will wake you up when it's time for lunch."
And like a holy remedy that kiss clear her mind clear and her fears disappeared for a moment.
She was no longer in a forest but in a meadow with violets, roses and orange flowers. In the background there was a woman looking at here smiling. Everything was calm again.
