Jan’s POV

I shooed the thought about the new tenant then left the building and went to the club.

After I finished my work at the office, I went to the club floor and greeted a few acquaintances here and there, while I was roaming and chatting my eyes landed on four men sitting at a table in a corner and having a heated conversation and I could swear that I heard Leo’s name so I made my way to the table and greeted “Hi, long time no see.”

Blake beamed “Oh, it’s Jake, how are you, man?”

The edges of my lips involuntarily twisted at the name he just used to call me.

David frowned and said “I thought his name is Jan.” then looked at me.

I looked at them and explained “My name is Jan; I forgot to introduce myself last time.” Of course, I avoided mentioning that Leo called me by the wrong name.

Max looked at me for a moment, then the realization hit him as his eyes widened and he said while giggling and in between breaths “So, in the end, it wasn’t even your name.”

I really had the urge to slap him; he could have just kept his mouth shut.

Everyone laughed except for David, therefore Bobby kindly explained to him about what happened in ‘A’ club.

They offered me a seat which I gladly accepted; even though their gossip can’t be trusted, maybe there can be something useful, as I took a seat they continued with their conversation.

“Are you sure he is a boyfriend? I was planning to have sex with him; I think he gave me a quick look last time, so I have a chance.” Blake said to David with a doubtful look.

Max waved his hands in front of him as if he is trying to exorcise some evil spirits and retorted “Not possible, even if I see it with my own eyes I will not believe it, in fact, I refuse to believe it.”

David countered in a defensive way “I didn’t say a fucking boyfriend, I said special, two days of sex with the same person, staying at his house, special treatment, I never heard of it happening before, if you don’t believe me then you can ask Jan, he was with me.” He looked at me with pleading eyes wanting me to confirm what he just said.

At this point in the conversation, I understood what they were talking about, and just as I thought, they are gossiping about Leo and Arlo, I wanted to say that Arlo is not Leo’s boyfriend because I’m sure as hell that I don’t want him to be, but a thought came to me, if these big-mouths thought that Leo has a boyfriend they will spread it like a wildfire and maybe some pests will keep their distance from Leo, or so I hope, so I nodded and confirmed “Well, I’m not sure what their relationship is, but there is something between them.”

David’s face had a victory smile spread all over it, while Blake and Max looked unhappy; Bobby didn’t have any specific reaction.

Before I could savor the taste of victory though I heard Blake saying “You know what, it’s not a problem, since he is not having sex exclusively with the new guy, we can still have sex with him, and if they were together we can go as a pair too.”

I cursed in my mind because my plan didn’t work at all, hell; it even backfired and thought ‘What the hell is wrong with these people? If he already has someone, you should just leave him alone, fuck, why don’t they just go and fuck each other’.

I stayed with them, hearing them discussing the best way to have sex with MY Leo, even though hearing them made me angry (especially the fact that, they came to my club to search for him because they heard from David that he sometimes come here too) but I kept my composure and listened, after all, you need to know your enemy to win the war.

The night went by slowly with nothing special, unfortunately, I still had no idea about Leo’s whereabouts, so after I reached my apartment I went directly to bed.

The next day, after I finished my work at the club, I left my office and went to the club floor as usual, while I was roaming around aimlessly, I saw a familiar back with ash-blond hair talking to someone, but I couldn’t see his face from where I was standing. I grinned and walked toward their direction.

When I was a few meters away from them, though I couldn’t hear what they were saying, I could see the other man’s face, and to my surprise, it was none other than David.

Before I could reach them, Leo grabbed David from his waist and pulled him against his chest and said something in his ear which made David smile and made me frown, what the hell with this sudden intimacy between them?

When Leo was about an arm’s distance away from me, I put my hand on his shoulder which made him turn his face and looked at me, after that he grabbed David’s ass and gave it a squeeze before letting him go, and turned around and said to me “Hi there ahh emm, I was looking for you.”

I had mixed emotions; happy that he was looking for me and angry because he still fucking couldn’t remember my name, I raised an eyebrow and said sarcastically “Shouldn’t you at least remember the name of the person you are looking for?”

At that moment, I really wanted to stick a note with my name written on it at his face, he just looked at me innocently and scratch his temple with his slim finger and said “Good point, anyway, did you happen to see a key chain last time when we were together?”

I closed my fingers into a fist while contemplating whether I should send it flying to his lovely face or not, what the hell is with that? Only ‘good point’ and ‘anyway’? He didn’t even ask what my name is or said that he is going to remember it next time, I shook my head to get rid of all these thoughts, and answered him “No, did you lose your keys?”

He mumbles a soft “Fuck”, then said to me “Thanks dude, sorry for the bother.”

And just like that, he turned around and started to walk toward the club’s door, ignoring my question, hell, he ignored me all together.

But no, I wasn’t having that, so I moved my hand swiftly and grabbed his tightly, which made him turned around again, looked at his hand before looking at me questioningly.

I gave him the biggest smile I could muster and suggested “How about I help you look for it?”

I didn’t give him the chance to refuse and pulled him out of the club and toward my car.

He stood near my car looking at me as if I was crazy or something but I ignored his look, I opened his door for him and soothed “We can go to the hotel and ask them if they found it during cleaning, come on, get in.”

He looked at me again before sighing and entering the car, I smirked and ran to the driver’s side and entered the car, it was clear that he didn’t want to go with me, but like I said before, to catch a slippery slot you need to be shameless.
