Three weeks later…

     The house is gone… so is the bed, the bathroom, the stove, everything except a couple photos and wheels of cheese. We grabbed the few things we could and ran, barely escaping the boulder. The war seemed to leap to the city, blocking off the volcano and causing a heatwave. We were defenseless, the gifted were weak and troops marched throughout the city. And now we are here, fleeing towards the Null in an attempt to make it the next nearest planet.
