Luna felt like he was pulled back into one of his terrible nightmares but instead of Lei, it was Carl who had killed his father.
Luna was overwhelmed with rage. The scythe in his hands blazed with black flames. He attacked Carl and with only a single blow, Luna shattered the glowing blade surrounding the left arm of the monster who killed his father.
Luna was going straight for the chest of his hateful enemy when Dad grabbed his knees and Sol seized his arms from behind.
Carl scrambled away from Luna and hid behind Lei who aimed for Sol but was intercepted by Dr. Jerami. The doctor caught her scythe before it pierced Sol in the back. She crushed the glowing blade into pieces but Lei quickly conjured one in her other hand. The two of them fought while Sol and Dad stopped Luna from killing Carl.
“Let me go!!! I’ll kill them all!!!” Luna angrily bellowed as he struggled from the strong grip of his family.
“Luna, we need to bring Dad to a hospital!” Sol yelled as well but Luna was dead set on killing Carl and finally slipped from the hands that were holding him back.
Fortunately for Carl, he had somehow recovered and both his hands were once again covered with scythe. He was defending himself quite well from the intense blows Luna was raining on him.
“Stop your brother,” Dad whispered wearily at Sol.
“Luna can take care of himself. You need to get treated," Sol tried to carry his father but the latter only slapped the former’s hands away.
“Stop your brother,” Dad firmly commanded. “Hurry!!!”
Sol glanced at his brother relentlessly attacking Carl. Seeing that arrogant and disgusting young man struggling for his life was a satisfying sight for Sol. He deserved that for stabbing their father.
Luna shattered the glowing blades in both hands of Carl for the third time, leaving the latter exhausted and catching his breath while lying with his back on the ground. Luna pointed the glowing blade in his right arm towards the chest of Carl. He lightly pierced it and the blood that trickled from his wound pleased Luna for only a bit. He needed to see Carl bleed like his father did.
“You value envy more than your other emotions,” Luna smiled with an ominous smile. “I will let envy take over your body, then I will destroy it. I will destroy your soulless body.”
Luna pierced his scythe deeper into Carl’s chest but before his glowing blade touch his soul, a white blade interfered. It was strong enough to push his blade out of Carl’s chest.
“What are you doing, Sol?!” Luna shrieked in anger.
“Saving both of you,” Sol answered while staring threateningly at Carl who was furiously glaring back at him.
“I don’t need saving,” Carl arrogantly fumed.
“Maybe you don’t, but we do,” Sol angrily shot back and knocked Carl out with a strong punch on his face.
“Take Dad to the car. I’ll bring in Carl,” he told Luna while putting the unconscious young man on his back. “Why are you not…” his voice faltered when he had seen what paralyzed his twin brother.
It was the man surrounded by blue smoke. He opened his mouth big enough to swallow their bleeding father. When he closed his mouth, it returned to normal and he smiled wickedly at Luna.
“We will also take your father,” he said as thick fog covered his body. “We will take everything from you until you submit to us, Luna.”
The thick fog swallowed him and his other two comrades. Lei was still fighting Dr. Jerami but after seeing her allies vanished, she dashed away from the beautiful doctor and bolted out of that place.
After all their enemies had vanished except for Carl that Sol was still carrying at his back, the glowing blade on both Luna’s arms had also faded and he collapsed on his knees, catching his breath.
“Dad,” he whispered in deep frustration. He was trying to get back on his knees but was too exhausted to do so. He had depleted his strength fighting Carl. “We need to save Dad.”
“We will,” Dr. Jerami said as she approached and helped Luna up. She also looked as beaten as the twins. “But we need to recover our strengths first.”
“They will not let him die,” Sol strongly believed. “They need him to make you yield, Luna."
"Let’s go back to the mansion for now," Dr. Jerami suggested, helping Luna back to the car.
