Ch 9.2 On the Run
Ashim and Nima continue their journey.
Ashim stops.
What’s wrong?
I don’t want to run away.
__ died because of them. I want revenge!
Ashim.
I know how you feel. But we can’t defeat them. The only option we have is to run, before they kill us too!
Nima takes Ashim by the arm.
Come on.
Don’t forget why we’re here in the first place. And don’t forget what ___ would have wanted.
Nima: We’re going to find the Lost Land.
Ashim: Sis, you’ve changed so much! (With a slight tear)
Nima: If I didn’t adapt to this situation, we wouldn’t last!
Nima: (looking around) Look at all the animals that have amassed here.
It’s because they have nowhere to go back on land. The blizzard would be the end of them.
Nima: You know, when that guy said the Lost Land would be on this mountain range, I thought we were close…
But this is the biggest mountain range I’ve ever seen.
The blizzard may be down below… But I feel like it’s coming up. We have to get there fast.
They overhear chants.
When they check it out there is a tribe of people singing at a fire.
INSERT BIG MAGIC SCENE
They get to high ground on one mountain.
Ashim: Nima… Is that… what I think it is?
They turn around and see the Crimson Army.
June: You’ve gone far enough.
The Lost Land… is rightfully mine!
Nima: What are you talking about? (angry face)
June: My father was a proud warrior, as great as me in his age. And he was pure of heart. When I was a young child, he went with me on a long journey to the Lost Land. He wanted me to see it too, in case he never returned. We arrived, and he was told that he was legible to find the Lost Land by a goddess of the mountain.
But something went wrong. I can’t remember what. All I remember is waking up back at my parent’s home, my father gone, and having lost all memory of how we got to the Lost Land.
My mother was devastated. She raised me herself. And she raised me to be a warrior that could match my father in skill, by hiring only the best warriors in town.
It is my destiny to succeed my father and find the Lost Land!
Ashim: We won’t let you get anywhere, after what you’ve done to Damien!!
The albuu bites the closest soldier and he drops his spear. Ashim picks it up. He frowns.
Albuu runs alongside June’s horse, with Ashim on the albuu holding the spear he picked up.
June’s horse comes closer and she steals Ashim’s compass. She gallops away.
Ashim (looking very angry): JUNE!!!!!!
