The word that I’m a powerful lightning user has spread across the whole school in only minutes. I try and find my friends. They seem to be gone. I wonder where they are. I think Yoru is in my next class. What is my next class?

“Weapon training?” Said someone behind me.

I turn around and there he is.

“Yoru. There you are. So do you know where it is.” I asked

“Yes, just follow me.” He responded.

I followed him. He seemed off though. He didn’t talk on the way there. He usually won't shut up, but he did today. It's weird. I want to ask him about it, but I don't want to break the silence. I wonder what it could be.

”So, I heard you awakened lightning. That must be cool.” he let out.

”Yeah, I guess,” I responded.

”Guess you're one of the strong kids now.” He asserted. Is that why I'm being treated differently. Maybe that's why my friends are more silent around me.

“It’s this class.” He said.

I walk in the and I find a seat. The teacher just stands up and sends a quiz to each of her students with wind magic. They just fly to us. The quizzes are about our magic. A very simple quiz. It asks for my name, my magic, and let me circle my preferred weapon from the list below. I had a hard time deciding my weapon. There were many options along with an “other” option. The option to choose from was: Bow, Crossbow, Spear, Dagger, Short sword, Long sword, Greatsword, Katana, Saber, Rapier, Scythe, First, Pike, Mace, and Ball and Chain flail. And a meso-crystal option of each of them. Meso-crystal weapons are weapons with a meso-crystal in them to boost magical capabilities. I didn’t know what to choose. I have strong magic, so I would want it. There are a few that caught my eye: dagger, rapier, short, long, and greatsword, fist, and katana. Scratch the long and great sword. I want a hand free when fighting. The danger isn't long enough to be decent if I didn't use magic, but it would be more of a backup weapon since I do use magic. Fist also has a flaw. It's not really a weapon. My magic is also long-distance, so fist also won't be the best. That leaves the rapier, katana, and short sword. A short sword again doesn't have the reach I want. It's better than the dagger, but still not optimal. That means it’s up to rapier or katana then. I think katanas are cooler than rapiers. I’ll go with katana and a meso-crystal one at that. I then fill it in and just wait.

After a while, she picks them up with her wind power. She then looks at them and then writes on the board to collect into groups based on the preferred weapon you chose. I get into the katana group. There are many people who chose meso-crystal katanas as there preferred weapon. This class is bigger than twice the size of the previous class. At least 70 people. The class is split up into groups based on the weapon we chose. Then there are numerous other people who come out and take us to testing grounds. They then go around handing everyone the weapon of there choosing. After they hand me my weapon, they explain what was about to happen.

”We will each call up one of the people in our groups to see if you are a good fit for your weapon. The normal weapon users will use field two for their test. The meso-crystal users will use field one. Alright everyone, head out to where you're assigned to.” The other teachers announced. I went over to field one. And stood with everyone else with katanas.

”GOOD LUCK!” The teacher let out loudly.

”you'll need it” the teacher whispered.
