Rose’s POV
Richmond, Virginia 2008
A bottle was thrown from an unknown direction. I heard my moms screams as my dad threatened her with a broken glass shard. I rubbed my tired eyes as I walked in the midst of their argument and asked them to stop before the neighbours were awakened. Next thing I knew, I was being thrown against the wall. I gasped. I wasn’t able to move. I could see my father raise his fist at my mom and I cracked. I screamed for him to let go. I got up wincing through the pain and raised a hand at my father. He gripped his head as he screamed in agony. I then raised both my arms and started speaking words I’ve never heard before. His eyes opened in fear as his hands raced to his neck. He gasped as I closed my hands and soon he stopped struggling. His arms laid limp by his sides and when I put my hand down his body fell to the ground limply. I rushed to my mother before I passed out.
“We have to clean up the body, was it Rose?
“Yes, Michael was about to hit me and she protected me from him.”
“Shouldn’t that be her first kill? Why didn’t she shift?”
“I had a powerful Bennet witch repress her werewolf side when she was a baby.”
