Yanyan’s POV
I woke up to see a small wolf sleeping soundly beside me.
“Hmm, what a cute wolf,” I thought. Celesty stirred and went outside.
Scratching the back of my head, I headed to the basement. There, the princess was already swinging a sword I had crafted—a fire sword with the strength of A+ Hunter. One swing could melt the surroundings. Thankfully, the training ground had a solid magic barrier that let her execute the sword’s full power for ten seconds before it faded.
I used Shadow Step to approach her. She noticed me and, thinking I meant harm, pointed the sword at me. But before she could react, I was behind her, holding her waist.
“Good morning, my princess,” I whispered.
Her cheeks flushed as she replied, “Good morning, Yan.”
“It’s good to see you so energetic early in the morning. Want to practice with me?” I asked, raising my hand.
“Sure, but please go easy on me,” she said, lifting the sword.
“Come,” I encouraged.
She stormed forward, unleashing the sword’s Second Skill: Fury-Fire. I immediately countered with Water-Break, engulfing her sword in water.
“What… How did it cover my sword? The fire is turning into water! What magic is this?!” she exclaimed.
“No worries. Activate the third skill: Fire-Dry,” I instructed.
“Fire-Dry!” she shouted. Steam billowed as the water evaporated, filling the room with smoke. But in that moment, I lowered my guard slightly.
Boom! She slashed toward me. I sensed the mana wave and teleported behind her, whispering, “You lose, my princess,” before planting a soft kiss on her cheek. She froze, stunned.
Footsteps sounded outside. I glanced to see my twin sisters, Yuri and Blaine, in gym suits I had made for them. Both were at Nascent Soul stage, so even at age eight, their power far exceeded most cultivators their age.
(Where did I find the time to craft all these gadgets, clothes, and devices over the past eight years? I’ve been preparing—strengthening myself, protecting loved ones, making my family proud, and ensuring their comfort…) I reminisced.
“Brother!” they called in unison. Yuri grinned mischievously.
“Brother, you’re blushing hehe,” she teased. Blaine made a heart sign with her fingers, winking.
“Teach us how to fly, please!” they pleaded with pouty lips.
“Flying? Even though your cultivation is at Nascent Soul stage, you’re still learning control. I’ll teach you to lift objects—you’ll figure out your own body afterward,” I explained.
“Okay! We accept!” they shouted in unison.
“Imagine your hand enveloped in air. Then raise it and focus on the object you want to float, letting air flow from your hand to the object.”
Yuri managed to lift her object briefly before it fell. Blaine tried, with the same result. Then I glanced at Celine. She closed her eyes, raised her hand, and effortlessly floated the object for ten seconds.
This girl… even at her current stage, she can manipulate mana at a level few can achieve. She’s gifted!
I watched my sisters improve slowly, smiling. Then I offered Celine a small bottle of liquid: One-Time-Pass.
“This can only be used once. If you try again, you’ll bleed and lose strength. It allows your cultivation stage to advance depending on how much pain you can endure during the upgrade.”
“Are you ready?” I asked.
Celine smiled. “I will not be worthy if I cannot face this. I’m ready.”
I nodded. “Drink it.”
She drank, and suddenly, colors representing her magical affinities radiated from her body. Seven elemental colors, one shadow, and one transparent—nine in total! This girl was extraordinary.
Then lightning, air, ice, water, earth, blizzard, tornado, black magic, and white magic surged through her. Her teeth gritted in pain as her cultivation evolved, surpassing Core Formation, breaking into Nascent Soul, then rapidly reaching Spirit Severing, and finally advancing into Void Immortal, almost ready for Transcendent Realm. She collapsed to the floor.
“Celine!” I teleported, cradling her in my arms. She was pale but recovering slowly. I kissed her forehead.
“You really exceeded expectations. I’m proud of you,” I said.
I stood, winking at my twin sisters. They cheered in unison:
“We vote for her, Brother!”
Hahaha… these kids.
