For the next three day, Asheron made it his initiative to avoid the east side of the house. That was where Vlad was so he had no reason being there.
Of course, he couldn't completely ignore him. He was worried Vlad would try and do something to the room or damage something. So Asheron made Damian keep tabs on him.
After that strange dinner, Vlad didn't come and join them again. And surprisingly Vlad was being well behaved in his room.
Asheron thought that things were going good with their guest. Almost to the point that it was suspicious.
That was why, since Damian was still asleep, Asheron decided to visit Vlad himself.
The east side of the house wasn't any different from the West, but Asheron could feel an immediate difference. It was...a strange feeling. Even though it was his house, he felt as though he had stepped into someone else's territory.
Asheron heard laughter coming from a distance and followed the sound to the east lounging room.
He found Vlad sitting on a brown leather sofa. One of his legs were propped up on the mahogany table while his other leg was occupied...with one of the maids.
Asheron watched as the maid rubbed her hand flirtatiously up Vlads chest. He recognized the maid as one of the four who served them dinner on Vlads first day there.
As if feeling someone's gaze on her, the maid looked up only to see cold blue eyes. They seemed to freeze her on the spot yet burn through her at the same time.
"My, my lord!" She said, her pale lips trembling. She clumsily climbed off of Vlad's lap and backed against the wall, her head bowed low.
Asheron slid his eyes from the maid to Vlad.
"It seems you are having fun."
Vlad flung his arm over the back of the sofa and tilted his head back to look at him. He smiled.
"I have received the best service."
"I see..." Asheron didn't want to think about the double meaning behind that. Instead he looked back at the maid who was still trembling in against the wall and slowly walked towards her.
Even though she knew there was nothing there, the maid felt as though tons of bricks were being placed on her back. The pressure only increased as her master got closer until her knees buckled and she fell to the floor.
Asheron stopped in front of her looking down at her. The anger and disgust he felt couldn't be hidden. The fact that one of his servants would have the audacity to "fool" around in his own home as if it were some whore house.
"Name." Asheron's voice was flat and void of emotions, still there was a hint of frost.
The maid flinched.
"Marge." She said in a small voice.
"Are you one of the servants I specifically selected thirteen years ago?"
"...Yes my lord."
Silence filled the room and Marge decided to dare to glance up. She regretted it instantly. The emotions on Asheron's face were clear. Disappointment, disgust, it was obvious that he was done with her before the conversation even started.
Asheron saw Marge glance at him and then Vlad. Asheron looked at Vlad as well.
He had his legs crossed and a slight smirk on his face as he watched them as if he were watching a good show. If Marge thought she would be able to find a place with him in the future, she would be greatly mistaken.
Asheron almost wanted to shake his head at the pitiful girl.
"Vlad."
Vlad hummed casually in response.
"You cannot touch the staff. They are not for your... entertainment."
"I didn't do anything. Half bloods simply cannot resist the allure of us nobles. I'm sure you understand." Vlad let out an exaggerated sigh as if things couldn't be helped.
Asheron narrowed his eyes.
"They might not be able to resist, but you can. You will have to take your inappropriate activities outside of the house."
"Inappropriate activities." Vlad repeated with a laugh. He uncrossed his long legs and stood in front of Asheron.
"You need to lighten up Ash." As he spoke, he brushed his finger tips across Asheron's cheek. "When I go out to do my 'inappropriate activities', maybe you should join me."
Asheron resist the urge to back away out of reach of Vlads reach, but he stood his ground and stared into Vlads red eyes.
"Nobles have a image to uphold. How do we expect to be followed if we don't show a good example of what it means to be apart of nobility."
Vlads mouth turned down in a frown before he went and flopped back down on the sofa. He folded his hands under his head and closed his eyes.
Asheron also turned to leave but paused and turned back at the almost forgotten maid on the floor.
"You. Leave." With that command being said Asheron left the east side of the house to spend time with Aloise when he woke up.
Later during dinner time Asheron heard the front door open and close with a unhurried and conspicuous bang.
