well all that is because of something called 'gravity' around the universe

most of said gravity is coming from a massive object that we call the sun

the gravity drags you down and smashes you on the floor until you turn into a bloody heap of bone and flesh (jk)

well thats from something called inertia

inertia is the driving force of orbits around a celestial object, its basically the forward movement of the earth which just happens to be enough to keep the earth from being deleted by the sun

so basically, inertia and gravity are why and how the earth manages a stable orbit

the reason earth rotates, however, is caused by something completely different

that was from how the solar system was formed

as rock and gas was compressing a few billion years ago they started to spin due to the effect of gravity on each other

that effect of gravity still lasts to this day, aided by the moon which lightly tugs on the earth as it rotates
