"Kandi! No" Sally says

She grabs my hand and takes me out outside. 

"Vaping is not g-

*The Bell rings*

"Not good for me" I say finishing her sentence 

"Don't worry I take care of myself" I say to Sally

My friends walk out of the bathroom and start running to class. I follow them, but we end up getting stuck in a huge crowd. Well, here we go again. I only see Jess next to me.

"Not to be violent, but should we push them" I say to Jess

"Fine. But not too violent" Jess says and starts pushing people's backpacks out the way.

So I start, I keep saying sorry since I'm afraid of going to class late again. I finally get out the crowd and start running to class. 

"Kandi, wait I'm coming!" Jess says and accidently bumps into a couple making out in the middle of the hallway.

Oh sh*t I think, but I grab her arm and run. We finally get to class.

"Yes! We're on time" Jess says happily and walks to her seat

I sit down in my seat trying to figure out what happened to Jamie and Sally. Then, my partner sits down and starts kicking my backpack which was on the floor. I pick it up and he accidently kicks my hand. 

"Neroghut'yun" He says 

"What?" I ask 

"I said, I'm sorry, you damn Latinos don't know anything" He says 

"Well, sorry, maybe you should learn more Spanish since you obviously care" I say 

As you can probably tell, at my school, your race really matters. And it's so wrong.
