Seren let out a loud laugh, “You really,” She took breaks in between her laughter, “You actually went to get the raven's claw and ogre booger?” Seren began to roll around on the floor, tears began to form in her eyes as she laughed harder and harder, “Oh my, I think I might burst a rib!” Seren exclaimed.
The Warrior didn’t seem too enthusiastic about Seren’s outburst of laughter and seemed to grow more annoyed by the second and struck his sword into the ground, to which Seren immediately stopped laughing and stared at the Warrior.
“Are you bullshitting me right now?” The Warrior shouted, “We went through all this work to get you ingredients that you don’t even need?!”
Seren held her sides and began laughing once more, “Oh my gods, oh my gods, I can’t breathe,” Seren wheezed, “This is so…” Seren took a few breaths between laughs, “Oh my gods!”
Seren wiped a tear from her eye and perused her shelf, grabbing at a potion and placing it on her desk, “Ahhh, that’ll be 20 Vimoni,” She said, still chuckling slightly.
The Warrior clicked his tongue and reached into his pockets, pulling out a few small coins and placing them on the table, “Keep the change,” The Warrior growled.
Seren took the coins and handed over the potion, “Pleasure doin’ bus’ness with ya,” Seren said as she gave a mischievous smile.
The Warrior gave a disgusted look to Seren before turning and exiting her store. Seren just stayed put, maintaining her mischievous smile and watching him leave.
Now completely bored out of her mind, Seren fiddled with the key that she hung on a string around her neck.
“So boooooooored,” Seren complained, “There’s nothing for me to do today, they were the only people scheduled,”
Seren laid on her desk and kicked her feet off the edge. Her tiny stature allowed for this feat. And thus, she laid there, groaning about her boredom.
“The Inheritor of the Goddess of Dreams shouldn’t be so bored all the time,” Seren murmured to herself, “I should be going out on adventures and stuff!”
Seren heaved a heavy sigh, “Ova! I gotta talk to ya!” Seren exclaimed, “'S important! For the sake of my health!”
There was a moment of silence before everything around Seren seemed to freeze. Nothing moved, not a single thing.
Within a few moments of time freezing, a petite young woman, with black hair running far far behind her appeared. She rubbed her eyes and smiled at Seren.
“Ah,” The woman yawned, “You’ve called for me once again, what may I help you with?”
“Ova,” Seren started, “I’m extremely bored! You don’t understand! I need you to send me on a Heavenly Quest or something!”
Ova smiled and began to float into the air, floating above Seren. She looked Seren straight in the eyes as she murmured something under her breath. Seren assumed it was a spell or a ritual of sorts.
“My Heavenly Quest for you shall be quite long and tedious at times, I hope you are prepared for such an endeavor,” Ova said.
“Yes!” Seren yelled out, “Anything! Literally anything to get me into some action! I’ll do anything, no matter how tedious!”
Ova nodded, “How energetic of you, Periculum, never have I had an Inheritor quite like you, you are interesting,” Ova giggled.
Seren giggled in a goofy fashion, “Yeah, I’m one of a kind! But don’t change the topic! What will my quest be?”
Ova maintained her smile, “You must go where I tell you you must, do you understand that?”
Seren nodded enthusiastically, “Yes, I understand!”
“First you will attend classes in the Mages Guild here in the city,” Ova said, “I shall be guiding you as to what your mission there will be,”
With that last thought, time resumed, but Ova remained. She touched back down to the ground and watched Seren. Seren, in turn, sat up and looked towards Ova.
Ova extended a hand to Seren, “Shake my hand, Periculum,”
Seren complied and shook Ova’s hand, “I’m here for the long run, partner,” Seren snickered, “First time ever saying that to someone, always wanted to say it,”
