*BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP!* Owen hears his alarm go off ten minutes after he laid back in his bed. Owen tried turning his alarm clock off but only knocked it off his table. Hearing his alarm clock smash down onto the ground. “Ahhhhhh….” Owen complained as he knew that he had to clean it up. Owen sat up from his bed and looked around his barren room. Owen never liked too many celebrities, nor did he like too much design, so it was a plain old boring light blue painted wall with a plain old wooden bed in the middle of his room.
Owen touched the cold hard ground, not realizing he was wearing a bunny 1z on his body. Owen started looking at his hands and saw they were giant fluffy paws. “I probably should have done the laundry.” Owen complained again as each step creaked the wooden floor slightly, making each press on the ground a different tune. “This is going to drive me crazy.” Owen tried running quickly to the stairs to avoid the floor, but it didn’t stop and only made the floor a higher pitch with each creak. Owen was thankfully able to get to the stairs and it was quiet, what Owen typically liked. Until Owen got off the stairs and heard more creaking floorboards waiting patiently for his next step. “AHHHHHHH!”
-10 Minutes Later
Owen decided to avoid the floor and decided to go in the kitchen. Thankfully for Owen, Scarlet’s bakery was connected to his house, so it wasn’t too far off a walk. Owen opened the fridge to look for something to eat he had: “Eggs, Cold Water, Some Soda Cans, Bananas & Some Waffles.” However, Owen decided that he didn’t want to eat any Waffles today, so he looked and found it: “1 Slice of Bread.” Owen quickly took a bite out of it and said: “Tastes like Bread.” Typically, Owen wanted something more than just bread, however he decided that bread was all he needed this morning.
As Owen went over to the entrance, he saw the cookies he had on sale…none. All that was left was crumbs, even Owen knew that no customer would just buy crumbs. Since Owen tried before hand, at first the customers laughed thinking it was a joke until they realized Owen was serious. Owen knew the business was on the point of failure with almost no revenue coming in, Owen knew he needed a knew type of cookie that tasted so good that would hopefully save the bakery.
“Alright, I mean it can’t be that hard right.” Owen answered to himself out loud with no one to answer. Owen went over to one of the drawers where Owen had all of his brilliant ideas. Who could forget the: “Ginsimigar” It was a mix of a gingerbread cookie and a sugar cookie. The design looked terrible, but it had all of the ingredients on the side. Owen remembering writing it down when he was 9 years old, Owen decided to look through what else he made.
“Brunt Man” - A cookie that was just burnt and was burnt.
“Bottle Cap Cookie” – Stick a bottle cap in the cookie as a secret prize inside.
“Furniture.” It is tiny furniture that is a cookie. Doesn’t sound too great.
“Crumbs Two.” It is a bunch of crumbs stacked in a giant pile.
“A Sugar Cookie without Sugar” Explains itself.
“Jumbo Cookie” – Combine every single cookie ever made.
Even though Owen thought he was smart when we wrote these down, Owen knew none of these would save the bakery. Until Owen found one design that looked complete.
“Ginger” – A Personal Cookie Helper?
The description was weird, and Owen didn’t remember writing it down, but it had his signature and all the ingredients that were required. Most of the ingredients Owen knew where they were except for something called: “Black Sugar.” Since Owen didn’t know what Dark Sugar was immediately, he decided to cast the mold first. Owen did his best does not goof off, so he drank 3 – 4 cans of ren bull for the energy. Owen believed in the slogan of red bull giving you wings, thinking it would help him work faster; it didn’t. After carefully looking at the design of the cookie he knew this wasn’t going to be easy and it would take him awhile.
Once Owen cut the mod, he added a beautiful little dress made from carefully squeezed hot chocolate and some white frosting. The hair looked to be all white, but Owen wanted to make it looked really perfect. So, in order to add some needed flair, he painstakingly used a knife and made little, tiny institution to make the hair look like strands instead of plain old frosting. Next Owen put on a Bonnet over her head, using the highest quality chocolate he had available and mixing it in with a bit of caramel. By the time Owen looked back it didn’t look like a cookie it looked like more like an edible doll. The final touches came to the eyes, where Owen carefully pull in two adorable white frosting eyes. Owen honestly felt proud of himself, he hasn’t worked this hard on anything ever. Looking at the time it only took him…2 and a half hour, for 1. Owen was slightly panicking but it will be worth it once it is finished, Owen looked around for this dark sugar but couldn’t find any anywhere. Not in the cabinets, drawers not even the dishwasher. So, Owen was panicking thinking that if he didn’t finish, it he would be screwed. However, as Owen began panicking, he saw something at the corner of his eye he hasn’t seen for a while.
A book from his mom’s high school…in the kitchen. Owen tried pulling it out before it activated a switch that lifted up a compartment by the counter, where a large black container was there. Owen went over and grabbed the container, however it never said what it was nor any of the ingredients on the back. Owen saw this as slightly risky if he sprinkled some on his only shot for redemption, it could possibly kill someone but if he didn’t his business might fail. He didn’t know what to do and decided to risk it. He grabbed a spoonful of black sugar and sprinkled it all over Ginger.
“Here is to everything.” Owen grabs a can of soda from the fridge and drinks it all, feeling like this decision might have cost him everything. Owen puts the container back where he found it and makes the secret door compartment close back up. Owen then heads over to Ginger and places Ginger into the oven and starts a ten-minute timer. As Owen watches the cookie slowly bake, he felt his eyes slowly shut before him, Owen felt himself slouch back in his chair before lilting his head down and falling asleep.
-20 Minutes Later
Owen opened his eyes to hear the timer blaring off, Owen quickly springs out and stops the timer before checking on the oven which appeared to be off. Owen quickly opens the oven to see the cookie was gone.
“W-w-what?! Where did it go?” Owen quickly grabbed the tray without wearing a glove, which slightly burnt Owen’s hand. Owen grabbed his hand quickly putting his hand under cold water, before he looked over at the tray to see nothing, no ash, no residue, nothing. Owen knew it wasn’t in his imagination because he is remembering designing it, but the better question was where it went.
A voice then suddenly came from behind Owen saying: “Hello Father!” Owen is shocked hearing another voice in his bakery, that was right behind him, and his instincts tell him: “It is a robbery.”
“Take my money, take whatever you want just don’t kill me. I have weak bones.” Owen quickly threw his hands up into the air thinking it was a robbery.
“Uh….”
“Also, could you tell me if you ate my cookie I just baked?”
“And If I did?”
“Did it taste good? I mean I poured my heart and soul into Ginger.”
“You mean it?”
“Y-yeah…you aren’t a robber are you.” Owen lowered his hands as he started tilting his head across his left shoulder for a closer look but couldn’t see them.
“On the counter.” Owen looked on the counter and saw G-ginger? Ginger was standing on her two legs and smiled over at Owen. Owen turned around and looked closer, poking at Ginger to see if she was real.
“Am I hallucinating.”
“No…hahaha…stop.” Every time Owen poked Ginger it makes Ginger laugh because it felt like it was tickling her. Owen could definitely tell it was real and baked away quickly, there was no way cookies, nor this could be possible.
“Jeez, Maybe I had a bit too much red bull.”
Owen starts gripping his head, feeling that he is going slightly insane. Ginger thought that maybe seeing her as a cookie walking and talking is slightly scary, so Ginger thought of growing to Owen’s size would make it easier.
“Maybe me being this small freaks you out, here let me grow bigger.” In a matter of seconds Ginger jumped from the counter onto the floor where she grew to the same height as Owen. “Better?” Ginger questioned. Owen was petrified in fear as he felt his legs lean back and falling on to the kitchen tiles.
“Ow…”
“Are you alright Father?”
“Yeah, I am fine.” Owen starts to feel his eyes slowly close on him as he starts resting on the floor like a baby. Ginger looked at Owen napping on the ground and just thought it was cute.
“Hmmm, honestly a better reaction then I thought it would go.” Ginger then picked up Owen off of the ground and went up the stairs to put him back to bed. As Ginger was on the way to Owen’s bedroom, Ginger noticed the floorboards making high pitched noises. Thinking that the first thing that needs work is the floor itself, wherever Ginger put her foot down the floor would creak and make a different pitched tone some were high, and some sounded low for some odd reason. Once Ginger did her best to carefully avoid the musical floorboards, Ginger tucked Owen in bed and wished him a good afternoon.
