So I went home flew into my bedroom window and put on regular people clothes. I place the plack from the Cardinal down near the tv and head to sleep.

I wake up extremely excited but nothing happens most of the day until it's time to meet the Cardinal again.

Flying above the city. The Cardinal is a big guy in a red suit shouldn't be hard to find he found me easily last time. 20 minutes later I finally met him to talk a bit. He really nice our conversation ended with this.

Cardinal: Before you can my sidekick you register as a superhero. Just follow me.

He takes me to a skyscraper middle of the city with an amazing balcony we fly in through the top.

I meet an older man in a large overcoat he basically runs the place with the of the Cardinal.

I have to take a short survey asking what are my powers, weakness, fighting experiences, and finally my hero name. Yes, you read to the title of the book I am superqueer the first gay superhero.

This is one of the greatest shocks of my lifetime the Cardinal is my dad.

Cardinal: Son step into my office.

My first thought is what does a superhero need an office for. I look around the desk with a computer in front of a bookcase filled with books. Pictures cover the desk plenty of my dad younger with friends I don't know there's picture's of my dad and my sister at the beach at the museum and at the park, a picture of my day and mom on their honeymoon no pictures of me. So I guess I don't exist then.

My dad joins me briefly to hand me a new costume.

Cardinal: Here put these on.

I put on the clothes that are similar to my previous ones but have more pockets. My dad walks back in he looks over his book collection there are science books construction books history books he finally pulls one out.

Cardinal: Ah yes here it is.

He sits down across from me the book he had chosen the Bible. He opens it to a page with his name at the top followed by numbers.

Cardinal: Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

I watched nervously as he closes the Bible and puts it back on the self.

Cardinal: So son any questions?

Sebastian: Why don't you have pictures of me?

He looks over his picture collection and says.

Cardinal: weird

Then he pulls out his wallet and throws a picture of me as a baby.

Cardinal: Happy now?

Sebastian: So will I really replace you as the next superhero.

My dad burst out laughing this is really weird unsettling even I have never seen him laugh this much before. He finally stops.

Cardinal: No never ( he laughs again)

Sebastian: Why not?

Cardinal: Well 3 reasons.

Number 1 your sister asked first.

Sebastian: Wait she's gonna get powers when?

Cardinal: No idea your sister is 15 she's a straight a student a karate master but no powers yet.

He pauses I think to say something but he might continue.

Cardinal: Well we all grow at our own pace just continue growing and achieve greatness. Wow, now I sound like my dad.

Sebastian: My sister new but I didn't.

Cardinal: Well son trust is a two-way street and you had your secrets that you told your mother and sister first.

Okay, he's right about that one I still wish I knew.

Cardinal: Number 2 because she's a better fighter and smarter. And number 3

I stay quiet as he takes a deep breath.

Cardinal: You're adopted.

The most confused look appears on my face and tears start to fall. I learned a bit about genetics in school me my dad and sister all have the same brown hair and I look just like him suddenly a camera flashes in my face my dad just took a picture. He is laughing again.

Cardinal: It's a joke you think if had a choice I would pick you?

Not adopted really hurt but not adopted.

Sebastian: What's the real reason?

Cardinal: Its because your sister decided to learn martial arts and you decided to be gay.

My dad's gonna introduce me to his friends what if I'm not accepted what if they're like him am I back in the closet.

Cardinal: Friday afternoon your sister and I are going to an amusement park. Be a good boy here and you can go too.

Sebastian: What do I have to do.

Cardinal: So I'm gonna set a timer for ten minutes during those 10 minutes you and I are gonna pretend to be a loving father and son.

He stands up and motions for me to do the same. I suddenly feel really nervous as he starts the timer. I wonder does he really love me for 10 minutes.

Sebastian: So I'm kinda nervous dad can I get a hug.

Cardinal: So am I and no you can't

Suddenly a man in a blue costume enters the room. My dad puts his hand on the shoulder of the gentleman who just walked in.

Cardinal: Ah yes this is my buddy Azure Galen but Of course you know him as Todd.

I hug Todd until my dad breaks us up.

Cardinal: Ok that's enough.

An intense staring match starts between my father and Todd. Right now they don't seem like buddies. I'm actually worried for Todd my dad has laser vision and he's in danger range.

While staring continues my father finally says.

Cardinal: Fight the Cardinal and you'll lose.

He then pushes Todd out of the way and I followed him.

We continue walking

Ok this next character has a bunch of names

We approach a female superhero shorter than my dad.

Cardinal: This is Tempest real name, Tyrone

Tempest interrupts: Its Tuula

Cardinal: But I call him ty

Tempest gets visibly upset.

Cardinal: Go ahead weather boy show him your powers.

Tempest: How about I test them on you.

Cardinal: Go ahead

Then the superhero knows as a Tempest freezes my dad in a block of ice unimpressed he melts it to a puddle with his laser vision next to the heroine tries a super strong wind realizing that didn't affect him either she finally strikes my dad with lightning.

Cardinal: Ok good job ty or should I say, Tyrone.

Then Tempest punches my dad square in the face. I hear bones start to crack. The hand of Tempest is broken. Suddenly my dad is concerned.

Cardinal: Why would you do that go see a doctor.
