As Mary was arching forward I could see one of her hands were down and holding a knife. it sparkled in the light. Connor kept walking and without thinking, I ran upstairs and took the sharpest thing I could find. And ran downstairs in a flash. I ran straight ahead with the knife not knowing what to do except with one thought in my head. Mary needs to die. I need to protect Connor I chanted that over and over in my head as I ran full speed ahead and the knife struck Mary, and she fell to the ground with a thud. Then slowly faded to ashes.

Connor had his senses back and all I could think about was that I did it! Connor was confused and drowsy. I should have known he had gone through an experience that only a few people might have gone through. All I could think about is we got out alive. I only cared about what happened during that moment.

Relief overcame me we were free at last. I finally got up and helped Connor to his feet and said

"I'm never allowing you to date anyone ever again unless I approve of them," I jokingly said.

And we both laughed and talked about what happened. Maybe he will finally understand that he can't date someone just because they seem alive.
