As the girls exited the hospital, they started their walk back home. They stayed close together, knowing the area they were in was sketchy. "I know what illness your cousin has..." Hannah stated.
"Huh?" Emma was confused. "Then what is it? And why didn't you tell my aunt?"
"I didn't want to worry her. Especially since the disease can be fatal."
"Oh my lanta... What's the disease called?"
"She has progeria... It has no cure. According to scientists, but they're wrong. My people can make the medicine."
"Well, how do we get the medicine?"
"I don't exactly know, but, we are going to have to sneak in and take it..."
"Oh my.. We can't do that! We'll talk more later when we get home."
"Alright.." They changed the topic and walked the rest of the way home.

When they got back to the hospital, they told Melissa what illness Ari has. Her expression was anxious, hoping her daughter can survive through this disease.
Dr. Miller walked back in with news. "You're daughter has progeria."
"I know..." Melissa muttered.
"We have no cure and the estimated amount of time for your daughter to live is at least a month and a half." Everyone was shocked. Lynn, who was closest to Ari, started producing glass-clear tears.
"N-No!" she sobbed. "I'm going to have no one to play my dolls with."
"You have me..." Bella blurted. "I'm offended."
"Well, I'm closer to Ari than you!" she fended. The two siblings started arguing, overlapping one another.
"Girls stop!" Melissa commanded. "We'll finish this later." They crossed their arms and moved away from each other.
"Okay, well," Janet began. "If anything else happens, please come back and we'll monitor her."
"Okay, thank you so much doctor."
"You're welcome, and have a nice day!" she smiled.

They walked out of the car. As soon as they all walked in the house, Hannah told them about the medicine her tribe made to cure progeria.
"Well, we have to get that medicine!" Melissa exclaimed.
"It's not going to be that easy though." Hannah inquired. "My tribe literally kicked me out and if they ever see me again, I can be executed..."
"No matter what, Hannah..." Lena encouraged. "We are going to help you get that medicine."
"But what about me?" Ari questioned. Her voice was still very raspy. "I'm sick and I'd hate it to not go with you guys..."
"It's okay sissy!" Lynn gushed. "I'll stay!"
"Yay! Okay, bye guys!"
"You girls stay safe, please." Melissa cautioned. "There's a lot of strangers out there."
"We know, mommy!" Bella sighed. As they walked out the door, they started their walk to the village. As they exited the house, Lena loaded the map on her phone. "Okay, since you know where this village is," Lena said curiously. "Take my phone and type the area then we'll follow."
"Uh.. Sure." Hannah took the phone and typed the address. The navigator calculated a mile and a half walk to get there.
"Oh my lanta." Nova growled. "It's a mile and a half? That's bullcrap!"
"Watch the language!" Bella warned. "Well if we want to get there on time, lets start walking!" Everyone started following Hannah into the streets of Milwaukee.
*********************************************************************
"In a half mile, you will arrive at your destination." the navigator monotoned.
"Okay," Hannah looked back. "We have to be careful. My people walk in these areas. If they recognize me, we're in trouble."
"We'll hide you." Nova offered. "Like you can be in the back, but close, and we'll be in the front!"
"That should work..." Emma, Bella, Nova, and Lena walked up to the front and Hannah stayed close to the back.
After seven minutes of walking, they arrived at the village. Bella covered her eyes once she saw the sight of people carrying dead bodies and then chopping them up at a slaughter house.
"Okay, follow my lead," Hannah commanded. "And whatever you do, don't make a sound that can be too distracting." Everyone nodded their heads and went along.
As they arrived at the clinic, they had to be in complete stealth mode. Emma wanted to say something but she didn't want to blow their cover. They stuck close the the red walls to get pass the security cameras, hid under tables and chairs, squeezed into tight spaces, and hopped on ER beds so they can get where they needed to be faster. Once they got to the room, the round silver knob was stuck, and they didn't have enough time to stand around and wait for someone to unlock the door. All of a sudden, an idea popped into Bella's mind. She started taking her hair out quickly while everyone was staring at her like 'This is not the time to be fixing your hair like this!' Once she got her hair out, she grabbed a bobby pin and got the end of it to unlock the door. One down nine more to go. The girls started communicating with sign language. Emma signal said she never knew there were that many locks. Hannah replied hers saying sorry for not knowing. The girls started taking out their hair and letting it out, taking all the bobby pins they got. *Click, clack, clang* One by one, the locks were being unlocked. Soon they heard footsteps. Nova gave the look to spread out and hide. As soon as everyone took their hiding spot, the nurse stopped to check the special medicine unit, not acknowledging the unlock parts of the door. They sent random signals until the nurse left the room, locking all ten locks again. After she walked off they continued to unlock the doors.
They opened the small confined room and closed the door again. "Okay, that was scary." Bella commented.
"Now, find a shelf that says 'Rare Cures.'" Hannah said. They rummaged through the wood of the oak bookshelf.
"I think I've found it!" Lena exclaimed.
"Does it say progeria on it?" Hannah checked.
"Hmm, yeah! It does!"
"Okay since we have the medicine, lets get outta here." Nova said, with a feeling of worry in her voice.
"What's wrong?" Emma questioned.
"I can hear footsteps..." She was right. There were at least five people walking down the hallway, as Emma calculated it.
"Everyone hide!" Bella commanded in fear. Everyone hid in small spaces to hide from the people.
"So when I came to check on the medicine, six of the locks were unlocked!" the nurse said confidently. "Here we go again! But this time, as you can see, all the locks are unlocked!"
"We'll investigate," one of the officers said. It was quiet for a moment, then the sound of the wood door came going down. "POLICE, HANDS UP!"
There was no sound. Everyone was trying to stay quiet. "Show yourselves now or we will unleash the canine to find you!"
Still no answer.
The dogs came running into the room, sniffing for any criminals. One german sheperd sniffed a corner and tracked Nova. The dog started barking and pulled her. "Everyone, RUN!" Nova yelled. Hannah ran toward Nova and pulled her as hard as she could until the dog let her go.
"You guys don't need to wait for me!" Hannah said. "Grab the medicine and go!" Since Bella was the smallest, she grabbed the medicine and ran out. All the others followed except for Hannah.
As they were running out of the village, Emma looked back one more time knowing her friend, was going to get executed.
*********************************************************************
As they were approaching the house, Emma blurted, "We need to go back for Hannah!"
"We can't do that," Lena said sternly. "We can be captured!"
"We'll hide. If you want to come with me, follow." She started walking back to the village.
"I can't leave her like this," Lena sighed.
"Me too," the others said.

As they arrived to the village, they hid behind the bushes. But then they heard a loud voice of a man talking. They followed the booming sound and came across a sturdy gallow. "A-Are they going to hang Hannah?" Bella questioned in fear.
"I'm afraid so..." Emma replied, with tears in her eyes. "This is how her parents died..." Nova patted her back.
"Ladies and gentlemen!" the executioner said with pride. "We are here to execute another one of our worst tribe members! Lets release the victim, shall we?"
Two old wood doors opened and Hannah was struggling to break free.
"Let me go!" she commanded. Emma's blue crystal eyes started flooding with tears. The guards put her head through the loose noose.
"Remember how your parents died, Hannah. Either walked off or get stabbed til' death."
"Wait," she begged. "May I say my last words before my death?" As she said that, she caught the group with her eye.
"Ack, fine. But make it quick. We're starving."
"Okay... ahem. Mom, dad, if you can hear me, I'm going to see you guys very soon." Tears flooded her eyes. Then she looked at Emma, making the others confused because they were hidden so well. "A-And Emma. Even though we just met, thank you for letting me stay with you, and for also the adventure we just had." Emma sobbed, walking away.
"Now to the execution!" Emma walked back just to view the execution. "Hannah, you may now walk."
No movement.
"Now!" he commanded with anger.
Still no movement.
"Stab me," she requested. Everyone started running towards her, stabbing her to the death.
"No!" Emma called over the sound of squelching blood and flesh. She cried and cried.
*********************************************************************
When they walked inside, Melissa ran towards the group of girls. "Oh my goodness," she worried. "What took you guys so long?" She looked at Emma, swollen eyes and cold, purple lips.
"H-Hannah... didn't make it." she cried. Everyone came down and gave a group hug.
"Oh!" Bella gushed. "Here's the medicine sissy."
"Drink the bottle, whole." Nova instructed.
"Okay..." Ari obeyed. She gulped down the bottle. She started to feel a lot better.
"It's going to take up two days in order for it to work." Nova inquired.
Emma looked at the happy faces and ran upstairs. She flinged herself on her bed and bawled her eyes out, knowing she will never see her new friend ever again.
