I smiled as I stood fixing the piles of hay in the little barn for the horses humming my little tune along with the baby birds in the nest in the roof when I heard the door open and close

"'ello?" I ask

"Hello" a family voice answered

"'ow was it mi' lord?" I ask as I work

"alright, firstly what is your problem with h's?" Rafe asked leaning on the wooden pole that separates the stable from the walk way "secondly, it's my lord not mi' lord you know that" he says and I blushed hard looking at my work "thirdly, you know you don't have to call me that darling" he says putting his hand on my chin pulling me to look at him "but it was fine, nothing out of the ordinary darling"

"Then why 'ave you come to see me?" I ask and he just glared at me "why have you come to see me?" I ask

"Better" he smirked "it's been a long boring day" he says "time for a quickie?"

"I'm sorry mi' lord I'm busy" I answered going to turn away but he trapped me between him and the wooden wall of the stable

"Liar" he smirked "come on I'm not asking for a freebie darling" he smirked getting a shinny coin from his pocket he smirked handing it to me so I looked checking it was real much to his annoyance but I looked closer

"I told you rafe, inflation I can't afford to live off a 'alf crown a go" I tell him "you been to market lately, it's almost a sovereign a loaf of bread now"

"Ohh come on y/n, I only want a quickie? Plus come on its me, I thought I was on... Discounts" he smirked

"You where, not anymore" I tell him

"Ohh fine" he sighed digging around in his pocket a while "I have a half crown, two shillings and a sixpence?" He says

"That will do, as it's you" I smiled taking the coins putting my work down and dragging him into my little room with me and pushing him down on my little bed ...

I smiled as I worked sweeping the stable floors with my little broom

"Hello darling" a familiar voice smirked poking his head around the door

"Hello rafe" I laughed as I swept him quickly coming in and giving me a kiss as I worked "how did it go?" I ask

"Ohh alright, had a meeting with another bunch of idiots, paperwork, rode all the way to bloody Peterborough and back" he complained

"Ohh you poor thing, that's an awfully long way" I said

"It is a long way darling, I missed you" he says

"What? All those girls between here and Peterborough to expensive for you rafe?" I ask

"No, I just missed my favourite girl" he winked "I wanted to wait till I got home to my darling"

"Liar, how many stops rafe?" I ask

"None, I promise, check with Gregory you don't believe me," he laughed "besides, I was saving my money" he smirked getting something from his pocket "one sovereign for my pretty lady" he smiled I was shocked checking it over it was real

"Rafe that's far to much" I told him

"Give me the Change then" he laughs

"I can't, knowones come to see me since you've been gone so I haven't got anything" I explain

"Aww that's alright darling" he smirked flipping the coin in his hand and putting it between my breasts thought the top of my dress "you can own me" he winked dragging me to my little room
