She left the little dirty hell hole and burst out into the oddly quiet London city streets. She surmised that they were in the quiet neighborhood side of London. She found a dark sign that read Paddington. “Paddington, that’s about 40 minutes from the airport, better get going before the boys in blue come find this,” she mumbled.
Another 24 hours later, around 13:00, she arrived at her destination, tired, hungry, and annoyed. Luckily, before she left, she was able to send for a limo to take her back to HQ. She was beat, both literally and figuratively, and didn’t want to have to answer any questions.
She spent three days in the infirmary. The doctors would’ve preferred two or three weeks but seeing as she was one of the heads of the company… they couldn’t hold her back. She wanted out, to enjoy her days off and do normal things.
She went out feeling the warm breeze on her skin and the bright sunshine on her back. Taking a car, she went downtown to the shopping mall. As she walked into the mall, weaving in and out of stores, most people only saw a tired college aged girl. While in reality, the bruises around her face and arms were perfectly hidden under a layer of makeup. Most of her minor wounds had sealed, but she was still stiff and hurt. She desperately needed more clothes. With all of these abductions in the past few months, she ran through clothes and her specialty make up faster than normal. Most of her clothes were either ripped beyond repair or stained with blood. More than the company cleaners could handle. Her specialty makeup could cover nearly any dark circle, bruise, rash, or blood curdling gash that was healing. But In the past few months, those recent events have cost her a lot of clothes and makeup.
Normally, she wanted to be in and out of the mall as quick as possible. She didn't usually love all of the hustle and bustle. It was too easy to be picked off in a crowded like this, but as of late, she liked the people and the business. She wanted to have people around her. Her continued kidnapping whittled away at her. She got sick and tired of being alone in a cold, dark, damp cells with crude and evil little men wanting a sliver of knowledge. Reassurance of His untimely demise. It was dull. She was enjoying the mall and the people. Seeing all the innocent faces that surrounded her, the little families, and groups of teenagers swerving in and out of stores.
