Amelia is in a state of shock as part of her believes that this is a horrible nightmare that she can't escape from. Her whole body is paralyzed as she can't even mover her fingertips. Her body feels like a block of ice completely frozen as her mouth is wide open, causing her jaw to be locked in place.  There's a long awkward silence in the room that seems like it's going on for an eternity, granted it's only been five minutes. 

Lucian - "so. Um ( He struggles to find the right words to say without making it too awkward. He looks around the room nervously and starts to scratch his head until he manages the courage to say something .)  " So how's your day been going so far? I mean, the weather  was pretty nice, don't you  think."

Amelia is in disbelief. A part of her is like, what the fuck did he seriously ask me how my day was? Like after being ambush in a parking lot by a random stranger, only leading up to my now psychotic ex-boyfriend who just murdered a person in front of me was a perfect day for me.  

Amelia ( answers this question very sarcastically ) " well, you know, after being kidnap and beaten up in a parking lot while also ending up back at my ex-boyfriend house after I swore I'll never want to see him again after we broke up. Then to be tie-up in his basement after witnessing him brutally killed someone right in front of me. yeah, my day was splendid 

Lucian- " oh .. yeah, that  doesn't like a good day to me." 

Amelia " you don't say ( Amelia rolls her eyes as she is already annoyed by him)

Lucian -" oh, um... I mean, look on the bright side. At least you enjoy the weather a bit. The weather over the past few days has been horrendous, nothing but rain and storms. Im glad we got a clear day, and it wasn't too hot outside." ( Lucian now feels even more embarrassed as the awkward silence just grew more intense, and Amelia just gave him a stare .)  "Sorry, I'm not good at talking to people. It's only my third day on the job. I'm just getting used to this whole grim reaper stuff, plus, I'm just  really awkward in general, so I apologize for my lack of social skills."  ( Lucian puts his head down and walks away from Amelia. Even though Amelia is annoyed about her whole situation, a part of her feels terrible for Lucian. He was only trying to make small talk and that it wasn't his fault for all that has happened to her.

Amelia - I'm sorry it's not your fault. I should blame Gavin. He's the reason why all of this is happening. 

Lucian -  who's Gavin? 

Amelia - my now ex-boyfriend  

Lucian -  so he did all of this to you ( Lucian walks closer to Amelia carefully examines her face. He notices all the bruises and starches that she has all over her face. When he touches her, Amelia winces at first but comes to find out that she enjoys this. His touch feels warm and comforting, like a nice cozy bed in the morning. Despite all the trouble Amelia has been through in this exact moment, she feels calm and peaceful.  Lucian stops and walks over to the cooler to get ice. He finds an old dirty cloth and places the ice in it. He walks   back to Amelia  to gently place the ice on her face )

Lucian - how does that feel? 

Amelia- it feels nice. Thank you  

Amelia smiles at him. She can't tell if Lucian is smiling back, but part of her feels like he is. At first, the moment between them is peaceful; there was no awkward silence anymore as both of them enjoy the moment together until they hear movement upstairs. The warm, calm feeling Amelia had vanished quickly like the temperature dropping on the thermostat. Lucian looks deeply into her eyes, and his heart sank. Amelia's whole demeanor had changed from being calm to be on edge. He felt her legs shaking against him, and the warmth on her skin became cold. 

Lucian- hey, it's going to be okay. 

Amelia - I think he's coming down here ..oh no, I'm screwed; I don't have my phone on me at all. 

Lucian -oh um, I think I have one in my pocket. Let me ( Lucian strangles to find the phone, but he mages to pull it out ) 

Amelia - where did you get this ( sounding curious and also suspicious ) 

Lucian- Oh well, before I got here, the last soul I picked up had a phone on him, so I took it. 

Amelia - so you stole it? 

Lucian - technically is not stealing if they're dead.

Amelia -um yeah, it is 

Lucian - no its not 

Amelia -yes, it is 

Lucian -no its not 

Amelia - yeah, it is 

Lucian -no its not 

Amelia -yeah, it is 

Lucian -no, it's not ( Lucian is now annoyed with Amelia ). Listen, it's not stealing because they are dead, and what's the point they're dead! So they can't use it anymore. I like to call it finders keepers 

Amelia - okay, whatever ( rolls her eyes ), I need you to get my friend Claire. 

Lucian - shouldn't you call the cops instead?  I mean, that would make more sense to me.  

(Amelia gives Lucian a very nasty stare at him) Amelia - I need to tell her where I'm at. We work together, and I want her to know. 

Lucian- okay, what's her phone number ( Amelia tells Lucian the phone number, and the scene transition to Claire sitting in her room. Claire is on her bed, watching a horror film as the phone rings. At first, she thinks it's the cute guy from the coffee shop she met earlier before heading to work. She clears her throat before she answers. She changes the pitch of her voice to be higher and starts to act flirty )

Claire- Oh hi there John  I was - 

Amelia- Claire, it's me ( Amelia is in a panic as she hears Gavin moving around more  . Her voice is shaking, making it difficult for Claire to understand her)

Claire -Amelia, why are you calling me from this number? What happens to your phone? 

Amelia- I don't have much time to explain, but Im tied up in Gavin's basement; he kidnapped me. 

Claire -HE DID WHAT! ( Claire is furious as she jumps from her and starts to on clothes on to get Amelia ) Listen, I'm on my way ill be there -

Amelia - No! Claire, you can't come to get me. You have to go to the police right now! ( Very assertive ).

Claire- are you sure? I mean, I can come to get you. 

Amelia - no, you can't. He's dangerous; I don't know what's gotten into him, but it won't be safe for you to come here. Just go to the police station  ( Amelia is short of breath as she knows her as Gavin coming down the stairs, causing her anxiety to go up. She is now crying again as she terrified of what Gavin will do to hear ) Claire, please hurry ( tears are coming on Amelia's face. 

Claire - Amelia, hang in there. I promise I'm going to save you. 

Gavin's footsteps are closers as the door began to open.

 Amelia - Gavins here. I gotta go 

Claire -Amelia, wait. 

Amelia- I can't bye Claire ( the phone call ends ). Claire's emotions are wrapped like a tornado. The mixture of anger and frustration, worrisome, panic, anxiety, and fear of what will happen to Amelia if she doesn't reach her in time. Her heart is exhilarating, like a person pressing down hard on the gas pedal of the car. She grabs her purse and sprints out the door. She ignores her mother's call asking her where she's going. Claire is to determine to save Amelia that she doesn't even pay attention to the speed limit when he's driving. all she keeps saying herself is that she is coming to Amelia rescue to reinsure herself can do it.  

Amelia -Lucian, you gotta go now

Lucian -I can't leave you here with him 

Amelia- you have to 

Lucian- no, I'm not 

The door begins to open 

Amelia- Lucian, leave now!

Lucian- okay, but I'll be back, I promise.

Lucian disappears in thin air, leaving Amelia all alone. She breaks down crying hysterically, knowing she is trapped in Gavins' claws. There is no way for her to escape. All she can do is hope that Claires is on her way to get help. As the door fully swings open and Gavins footsteps are coming heavily down the stairs, Amelia tries to prepare herself.  Gavins walks down with a knife in his right hand with a  bag on his left shoulder.  He stands right in front of her placing the knife directly at her throat.  This is it for me, Amelia's thinking to herself. She's close her eyes waiting for the end to come.

Gavin - I could kill you now ( he continues tracing the life around Amelia's face . He enjoys her suffering as  she whimpers  pleading with him to stop but all he does is laugh at this )  but I'm not at least for now ( he places the knife in his pocket ) 

Amelia - what are you going to do 

Gavin - my dear, that's for me to know and for you to find out. 

Gavin laughs maliciously, causing Amelia to chill through her spine. He cuts the rope from Amelias hands, giving her a brief relief, but it's shortly live. He hands-cuffs and drags her up the stairs. Amelia trys to resist against him by refusing to stand. 

Amelia - I refuse to go anywhere with you!

Gavin - well, too bad, let's go. 

Amelia - NO! ( she  bites his arm, causing Gavin to let a scream in pain, which makes him more furious ) 

Gavin - alright, I had enough! Come on Bitch lets go  ( He grabs her by the hair with full force, dragging her against the stairs letting her head hit every step. Once they are outside, he covers her mouth so that way no one can hear. He shoves her in the back of the trunk.  The car drives off in the drive leaving a screeching sound with the smell of burning tires. Lucian appears in the distance. He looks at his clock seeing that he has another soul to pick up.  He feels torn. He knows that he's not supposed to interact with humans as his job, but a part feels he is obliged to save her. He couldn't let her be trapped, so he puts his clock back and decides to follow her. The intense fire was burning inside of him that he didn't care about his duties. All he cared about was Amelia, with the passionate fire that he had was all needed.

Lucian - It's okay, Amelia. I'm coming
