The teacher told me to write down my identity

But not my gender or sexuality but why I am here

Who makes me me

I don't know though.

I can't sit and think because then the voices start

then the pain and teasing in my mind starts

to the point I want to scream but I can't

because the teacher asked who I am

Why AM I here I wonder so often

Who decided to bring me to life

only to mess up and have to change it

I decided in the end just to say I'm a snail

...I wasn't lying but that wasn't all

I am a mess and I don't know why

why I am here

Who's life do I affect by being here

who benefits by my existence

what hope do I create in the world

And I don't know...

I don't know why I'm here

I want to know so so bad

but I can't and maybe I never will
