The villain moved very swiftly, so fast that if I did not have my ability activated, I would have died. I pulled mom away as I jumped in the air. The villain’s hand slammed the ground where we were supposed to be, creating a massive pit. He almost fell in head first, I thought he was dazed but he quickly threw something at me. It was some type of goo and moved strangely in the air. As it got close to us mom deflected it by slicing the goo with her blade, at this point, we were high enough to reach the top of a tree. On top I got a good view of every direction, I knew the direction of TCA because I had glanced at the GPS before we ran. I began to jump from tree to tree, trying my best not to use too much power. “Loprez where are you taking us?” Mom said, sounding uncomfortable. “Too the school!” I looked behind me to see the villain catching up, by his movements I could tell he was taking me seriously. “Mom, can you use your weapon as a distraction?” I tried to whisper as I almost missed a jump. Mom glanced behind me and threw her blade at a treetop, it had just rained so they were wet. The lighting from her weapon had spread onto the tree, and that somehow caused an explosion. It was large enough to push me through the air as I jumped. “You can get a new one?” I asked, watching my steps as the treetops began to get lower. “Yes, of course, that was an artificial blade weapon.” Mom said, I never heard of an artificial blade weapon before. “What is an artificial blade weapon?” I tried to go back to everything I've ever learned in school, not once have I heard of one of those. “I’ll explain later, focus on him!” There was suddenly a wall of corruption like the ones before in front of me, I almost ran into it. Naturally, I tried to jump over it, but suddenly I was hit by something swift. I felt a strange sensation on my cheek as I hit the ground, I lost grip of mom and she hit the ground next to me. My whole body was in pain, mainly my cheek. It had begun to turn brown, It felt rough and dry. The villain made his way down, making his entrance a couple feet away from me. He had a new gash on his face, his right hand looked just like my cheek. “This is the power of my ability, Corruption. It allows me to quickly destroy nonliving matter, and slowly kill living beings. My power is on par with the gods!” He let out a villainous laugh. Mom slowly got up, her blade back in her hand. “Why kill us, don’t you have better things to do?” Mom and the villain were circling each other, like two predators waiting for the right time to strike. Mom swung her sword at the villain, he grabbed it with his right hand. Electricity and blood flew across the area, the massive blade cut into the villain's hand. Blood and a purple liquid squirted out of his hand, when the purple liquid touched the ground it began to steam. “You want to use weapons?” The villain backed up and slapped mom with his left hand, his corruption ability began to infest her face. Random spots began to turn brown, her face, in general, became dry. When I had my glance back on the villain he held two katanas, five feet long and with a strange tip. “Get ready for my ultimate ability!” He made an X with his twin katanas, he then threw one below me. The ground opened up, making an endless pit. I managed to jump off a wall to get back up, he had thrown the other one at mom, she had avoided the attack. I heard something coming out from the pit, the villain was suddenly under me with both of his weapons. “Phantom slash!” He attacked me with his blades, I quickly transferred the power from my legs into my arm to deflect his attack. My electricity seemed to nullify the villain's corruption, it became purple smoke. Instead of constructing a proper landing I landed on my back, there was then a cracking noise. This noise was followed by intense pain. “Loprez! He seems to only be able to use his ability with his left hand!” She shouted, followed by weapons clashing. At first, I was stuck and unable to move, but then I realized it was all or nothing. With all of my strength I managed to crawl, my goal was to get help. After five minutes I gave up, It was very difficult to move and impossible for me to use my ability. I had stopped next to a creek, the sound of rushing water helped me calm down. The sound started to change, it became more calm over time, but suddenly I heard thunder. With very little hope, I glanced up and saw something mythical.
