Sol found himself in a dimly lit place, lying on a bed with both his hands and feet securely tied at the bed posts. He tried to break out of the ropes binding him, but no matter how hard he struggled, the ropes remained firm and only tightened around his skin.
He looked around and saw one occupied bed at each side of where he was restrained. Like him, their hands and feet were also tightly roped at the bed posts.
“Who…” his voice faded and his eyes widened with shock upon recognizing those people.
“Mom, wake up!” Sol whispered a bit louder to the bed on his left. He repeatedly called out to her but she remained unconscious. Sol carefully examined his mother and was relieved when he noticed the rhythmic movement of her chest. She was still breathing. Her soul was still intact but it was so small compared to the anger covering her entire being.
Sol turned to his right and called out in a louder whisper, “Dad! Please, wake up.”
Fortunately, after a minute or two, Dad stirred from the bed, opened his eyes, and turned his face towards Sol.
His eyes also widened with shock upon seeing his son.
“Why are you here?!” Dad struggled to keep his voice low. “Leave before he returns!”
“I don’t know what’s happening, Dad,” Sol frantically admitted. “I was separated from my body, FROM THIS BODY! But after falling asleep, I woke up in here! Dad, I can’t leave Luna alone. I promised him I won’t. He needs me, Dad!”
“Calm down, son,” Dad firmly commanded. “Think of Luna. Go to where he is.”
Sol closed his eyes and tried to relax. After a few dragging minutes, he succeeded to calm the pounding of his heart. He could feel himself floating, only to be pulled back again to his own body.
“You will not go anywhere,” a voice that sounded so much like the person who first occupied Carl’s empty body had spoken.
Sol looked around but could not find the source of the voice.
“Let’s all wait for your brother to surrender himself.”
“I won’t let that happen!” Sol tightly closed his eyes and filled his mind with the image of his twin brother and the ward inside Estrella Medical Clinic.
“You cannot escape from me like the last time!” the voice roared angrily around the room.
I CAN!!! Sol strongly believed. I WILL LEAVE THIS PLACE AND PROTECT MY TWIN BROTHER!!!" he yelled his lungs out. "LUNA!!! WHEREVER YOU ARE!!! HELP ME OUT OF THIS PLACE!!!
He instantly felt someone repeatedly shaking his body while screaming, “SOL!!! WAKE UP!!!”
Sol finally jerked awake and found himself back at the ward, beside his twin brother.
“You called me Sol,” he breathed with relief and smiled at Luna who was staring worriedly at him.
“You’re screaming for help. What did you dream about?”
“It’s not a dream,” Sol confidently uttered. “I was back in my body. I saw Mom and Dad. That man was guarding them and my body. We need to find that place.”
“How can we find that place? Did you see an address? Or anything that seemed familiar?” Luna asked, looking hopeful.
“I didn’t,” Sol replied with dismay. “I’ve only seen a dimly lit room with three beds on it. There were only walls, high ceiling, and thick black curtains.”
“I’ve seen the same thing in my dream,” Luna sighed. “But I don’t have any idea where it is.”
“Maybe we do,” an old woman’s voice had said.
Sol and Luna glanced at the staircase landing and saw four people approaching them.
One of them was Dr. Jerami. On her left, she was supporting an old yet beautiful and tall woman. She had short white hair with strands of gray. Her kind eyes looked similar to Dr. Jerami. She was wearing a black floral dress and a floral-patterned sandals. On the left side of that old woman was an old man with a lean body and stunning face. He was wearing white suit and white leather shoes. His short hair was gray with strands of white. There was also a gentle look in his face that seemed similar to Dr. Jerami. On the other side of that old stunning man was a tall, dark, and handsome man that was probably the same age as Dr. Jerami. He was wearing a casual navy blue shirt, jeans, and sneakers of the same color.
“Who are these people, Dr. Jerami?” Luna curiously inquired as Sol eagerly asked, “Do you really know where we can find our parents?”
“We have our suspicion,” the old woman replied at Sol. “It’s a place miles away from this small town. It will take months before you reach that dangerous place. You need to be well-prepared,” the old woman sat on a bed, looking exhausted. “Don’t worry. We will help you find them. But before that, give us a day to mourn the death of my grandson Carl.”
