Ep. 5
She didn't have time for this. She needed to find Keith then and there, it would be the only way to stop him. Whether she died in the process of trying to do so wouldn't effect many. Or, at least, that would be her normal thinking pattern had she not have a brand new friend in her pocket. Picking out a small cricket from the grass, after hilariously chasing it down, she handed it to the little dragon. She collected a few more, sticking them in her pocket and watching the little guy eat them.
Her joy got cut off when she heard footsteps approaching her. On high alert she stood up slowly, glaring in the direction of the footsteps.
To her surprise, it was not Keith, but in fact the guard from earlier. Smiling, he approached. "Glad to see you're okay, miss. The woods are rather dangerous. Especially with that Keith guy running around."
"Ah, yes, I suppose. But this is none of your business."
"Hmm, I am a guard, it's precisely my business!"
Glaring, Maria picked up her bag, which she set on the dirt, and proceeded to turn to walk away. Clearly Keith wasn't nearby or he'd have taken action by now.
