Sebastian’s POV
Suffolk, Virginia 2023
Katherine spoke for hours about things I don’t care about how her family was, how life was back in Spain. We were no longer in the house for she wanted to go to a restaurant. As she continued to speak to me, I thought about Rosie, how she was doing if she was alright, if she was eating correctly. Wait? Did I remember to unlock the door for her so she could explore? I quickly ended Katherine’s blabbering and rushed back home. She hasn’t been eating this whole time. I decided to cook a full course meal for her. It took a couple of hours, but the smell of Italian food filled the house, I wasn’t going to eat it, but I knew it was her favourite.
I grabbed a bottle of wine and set it in an ice bucket. I smiled to myself as I walked to unlock her door. I decided to walk normally instead of the faster way. As I approached her door, I instantly smelled the scent of blood. I furred my brows and unlocked her door, only to find her sitting in front of a broken window. She had a way out and didn’t try to escape? Maybe she wanted to stay. She didn’t seem to be aware of my presence. So I sat on her bed and watched her meditate. She looked like she was in peace, so I didn’t bother her. After a few minutes, she started rocking on the floor; it started slowly at first. Short bobs forwards and backwards, then she started levitation off the floor. I could hear her heart pounding like a jackhammer. I grew immensely more worried as she began to whimpering and crying. I slowly stalked my way over to her floating body and rested my hands on her shoulders and slowly pushed her body to the floor. The smell of blood overwhelmed me as I looked out of the broken window, and I could see drops of blood outside on the grass. I looked back inside, and I could see tears on Rose’s face. It pained me to see her in such pain.
