Sasha spent the rest of the day going between Miru and his dad. They found the source of the illegal leaked footage and were working on a way to take it all off the net. Meanwhile, Miru was almost well enough to go home. Sasha kept the young man company, brought him food, and made small talk.

One time, Sasha worked up the courage to ask Miru some personal questions.

“Miru, I was wondering,” he said thoughtfully from his position on the chair, “how did I earn your trust? I mean, I’m a male and you’ve only known me a few days.”

Miru listened thoughtfully, nodding his head.

“I know, it’s funny...but honestly I trusted you the moment I saw your face.” Miru Said quietly.

“But...how? When we met, you thought I was another, you know...customer.” Sasha cringed at his own words.

“Yes, but also no.,” said Miru, “you were different. You had fear in your eyes. You were just as scared in that place as I was.” Miru explained. Sasha chuckled.

“You’re right. That makes sense. Doesn’t make me a good cop though, I should be braver.” Sighed Sasha.

“You are the bravest person I know.” Said Miru shyly. Sasha blushed.

“No Miru, YOU are the bravest. You’re braver than me and I admire you a lot.” Sasha insisted. Miru shook his head but didn’t protest. They sat quietly for a moment and then Miru spoke up again.

“Sasha, how old are you? You’re so young to be a police officer.” Mirus wise bright eyes met Sasha’s curiously.

“Well, I just turned 21.” Said Sasha proudly, “I’ve been on the force since 20. It’s because my dads a chief, I got a head start on the training.” Sasha grinned.

Miru looked impressed. He was about two years younger than Sasha, at 19.

“That’s cool.” Remarked Miru, admiration glowing in his dark eyes. They talked a bit more about police, and then some other random things. Then, out of the blue, Miru had another question.

“Are you gay?” He asked Sasha abruptly. Sasha gulped and smiled awkwardly at the sudden inquiry. He glanced around the room before answering.

“Um, yes, actually...how did you know?” His face was red and he tripped over his words.

“Oh, I just...noticed some things.” Miru was suddenly shy.
