I check for a hatch and sure enough I find one, partially covered by some disturbed rocks. I dig my fingers into the seam, pulling as best I can, but there's no give. I sigh, then knock on the metal while I try to figure something out. To my surprise, I hear a knock coming from the inside. "Can you hear me?" I ask, not expecting a reply. This is a metal ship after all.
"Barely," I hear a feminine voice from inside, slightly muffled. "Is there a possibility you could get me out of here? The door seems stuck."
"It's blocked by some rocks. I'll try moving them, but it might take a bit; I'm tired out from working my shift in the mines," I reply, starting to roll up my sleeves.
It takes a while, but I manage to move enough of the rubble that the hatch can be opened. "I think that should be enough for you to open the hatch. Try again?" I say, and almost before I finish the hatch begins to open.
"Hello, I'm Captain Diana Lovelace of this, now somewhat less spectacular, vessel. My crew seems to have developed some unexpected gaps in it. Do you know how to fix things?"
------------
What do I do?
1. Accept the offer.
2. Decline the offer.
3. Take time to decide at a later date.
