Cardinal pov

Before we left the nice lady told us she actually owned a cookie shop she told us to visit and she would give us more free cookies.

I looked over at my son. What is idiot doing I think to myself? He's holding the box all wrong both his hands are on the side. Yea I have to take him home before he drops it.

Cardinal: It's getting late I should take you home.

Sebastian: Dad want a cookie?

Cardinal: I do not eat cookies I am a superhero I need to be in the best shape of my life.

He snapped at me I didn't know dad doesn't eat cookies.

We get home. I actually had a good day. I placed the box down on the table. I can't wait to tell my sister what happened. Dad saved someone and I helped. Kinda.

Skyla: Where'd get these?

Sebastian: We saved some old lady's life and she gave us these.

Cardinal: I saved her life you embarrassed yourself. I'm leaving.

Sebastian: You're going back out?

Cardinal: Yes I'll be out from 11 to 7 the Cardinal works all night.

Almost getting stabbed made me kinda tired I sleep and somehow wake up early. I walked out of my room to see dad.

Matthew: Hey kids glad you're up im gonna make breakfast for you.

Then he leaves.

Skyla: Dad's gonna cook.

Sebastian: We have to see this.

We follow him downstairs.

He has a frying pan on the stove our mom walks in.

Jenica: You know the stove isn't on right.

He looks at the eggs in the frying pan which aren't getting any warmer. Then lasers come out his eyes cooking the eggs instantly.

Matthew: Never said I was going to use the stove.

With a quick motion in his wrist, the eggs flip from the pan directly to the plates in front of Skyla and I.

Matthew: You kids like bacon right?

He takes a full pack of bacon puts butter on it and tosses it into the air then lasers it. The bacon comes down fully cooked steaming and golden brown.

He sits down at the table with a cup of coffee. Mom Skyla and I still can't believe what we just saw.

Matthew: Honey you coming to eat.

Jenica: Are you sure this counts as cooking?

He slams his fist down on the table.

Matthew: Cooking is cooking.

All of us sit at the table. I take a bite of the food and It's amazing.

Skyla: You're a great cook dad.

Sebastian: Yea you're amazing.

We finished breakfast. That box of cookies is still on the table.

Skyla: Dad the cookies are really good should try one.

Matthew: Sure why not.

He takes a bite. Then he nods his head.

Matthew: They're ok.

Cardinal: Son hero time.

On the top floor of the superhero organization we are joined by Galen a young boy, Tempest, and an old man I think his name is Erickson.

I looked at the boy about my age black hair blue eyes a blue domino mask finally his cape which you guessed it it's blue.

Erickson: Everyone we have 2 new recruits.

Cardinal: Yea thanks we can tell.

Tempest: They're adorable.
