The subject was quickly forgotten as a nurse barged in. They had just a few more tests and things for Miru before he was clear to go home. He was supposed to take it easy, due to his broken and bruised ribs, but he was free to go. Before taking Miru home that evening, Sasha went to the store to buy him some things. He bought to packs of white boxers, size small, a dozen pairs of white socks, a pair of jeans, sweat pants, and several t shirts. He’d take Miru out to pick more things when he was healthier. Sasha also got him some other necessities like a toothbrush, deodorant, and a pair of tennis shoes.
Sasha went home to him and his dad’s apartment and set it up before bringing miru back. He cleaned his room and put new sheets on the bed for miru, then he put a blanket on the couch for himself. He put all of mirus new things in the bedroom, along with some books and movies to keep mire entertained. Then sasha and chief Slava drove back to the hospital.
“I missed you.” said Miru when Sasha walked in the door.
Sasha smiled, “Ready to get out of here?”
miru nodded. Sasha handed him the change of clothes and new pair of shoes. “Put these on and we’ll go.”
While miru changed he briefly talked to the nurses with his dad. The nurse was sending Miru with a pain medication and instructions to rest.
The three of them walked out to the parking lot, Miru walking very close to Sasha. Miru didn’t look at or speak to Chief Slava, but seemed to have a bit of trust for him. Sasha opened the passenger door for Miru, but the boy shook his head, not wanting to sit next to Chief Slava. So sasha sat in the back with miru. If sashas dad was at all insulted by Mirus behavior, he didn’t show it. He seemed to understand.
