It was all quiet now. The day was over. Their shift ended. Rory and Sue were in the Parts and Service room getting ready to leave.
"Phew! That was one hell of a day, right Sue?" Rory asked.
"Yeah, not too bad." Sue replied.
They still had their springlock suits on, but there was no need for it now. Rory put his hands on the mask's head and tried to pull it.
"Hold up! There should be a proper way to get out of the suit!" Sue quickly warned Rory.
"Crap, you're right," Rory stopped what he was doing. "so how do we do it?"
There was a brief moment of silence.
"I-I don't know!" Sue panicked.
"What? What do mean!?" Rory yelled.
"He didn't tell us how to take it off!" Sue cried out "Oh god!"
"Don't panic! I'm sure everything will-"
Suddenly, the lights went out. All of them. It was pitch black. They were surrounded by pure darkness.
Sue screamed and cried while Rory tried to calm her down. Not that he wasn't panicking either. Things didn't stop there though. What they weren't told was that water and moisture can loosen the springlocks as well. Rory's sweat caused his suit to fail and turn back into animatronic mode.
She could hear the robotic parts that pierced through many body parts in Rory's body. He yelled in great pain. Sue stumbled and desperately tried to find an exit for help. But it was hopeless, she only made it out of the Parts and Service room into the hallway. At least, that's what she thought, since it was too dark to see anything. She could hear the gargled screams of Rory behind her. Sue put her hand against the wall to navigate the endless maze. However, it did not help.
Sue was also sweating furiously which caused the springlocks to fail. She could feel it go through her skin, then through her bones. The cracking and the blood spewing out. She couldn't even scream. Her organs were punctured and Sue started to drown in the pool of her own blood. The blood, from her lungs up to her throat. Her eyes, pressured to feel like they were going to pop at any moment. The bones, cracked in every single way possible. Her entire body, failing, shutting down, slowly and painfully. Sue felt nothing but pain.
In what felt like an eternity just lying on the floor, it still did not go away. Time slowed. Seconds felt like minutes. Minutes felt like hours. Sue didn't know how long she was there for. All she knew was that it was a horrible and slow death. She just wanted to die, end all the pain. But that didn't happen. She could only endure the excruciating, torturous pain that seemed to never end.
