The Stories I Tell

Mistakes

Mar 12, 2020

Calypso had gotten wind that Slenria was at the infirmary. She made haste to the infirmary and to her friends room. Upon entering the room, Calypso immediately knew something was going on. Slenria had been staring at the door and wouldn’t take her eyes off of Calypso as one of the nurses was talking to her. It was almost as though she was under some type of spell. As far as Calypso could tell, there wasn’t any magic that powerful in the area. Calypso hesitantly moved to sit down. Something about the way Slenria was acting didn’t sit right with Calypso. A rather soft glow of red glazed over Slenria’s eyes, which caught Calypso’s attention. She furrowed her brow almost in pain and put her hands on her head.

“S…Slenria?” Calypso said carefully, “Are you alright?”

Slenria looked up, the red glint still in her eyes. She opened and closed her mouth, wanting to say something. She slid off the bed and stood up. A soft blue glow started shining from her hands. Calypso stood up, scrunching her face. Slenria had never raised a hand toward anyone at the agency. So, why now? Slenria grabbed Calypso tightly, picking her up.

“I’m leaving with her. Don’t try to stop me or you all will be sorry.” she said plainly.

Calypso was trying her best to wiggle out of Slenria’s grasp only to make the woman tighten her grip, “Slenria! You aren’t yourself!” she said frantically, still trying to get free.

Calypso pulled out the whistle she had made while in Glila. She pressed it to her lips and blew into it. The sound of the whistle rang through the majority of the building, just barely reaching Calypso’s dorm where Voshin had be snoozing. The moment the whistle reach him, the rygusa perked up and jumped out the little pet door they had installed. As he jumped off the floor, flying to where the whistle was at, he reverted back to his original size. Voshin raced through the corridors, screeching to a halt in front of Slenria. The sudden appearance of Voshin caused Slenria to loosen her grip on Calypso, allowing her to wiggle free and hastily moved away from Slenria. A pair of cuffs shot passed Calypso and bound Slenria’s wrists. Danis and Xander ran to block Slenria from Calypso who was leaning against Voshin.

This is just a place I can drop stories I've written and will write in the future. Most are different worlds but there are a few that are in the same world. There are also a few that have multiple parts. I hope you all enjoy a walk with me through fantasy and magic.
