My Pen Pal

Extra-Elm POV

Extra-Elm POV

Feb 10, 2020

*this episode is Elm point of view (POV)*

I pulled up, and walked to the mailbox. Again nothing, I know I just sent the letter just yesterday but, I am allowed to hope that by some magical means, he could send one back early. I got back into my purple car and turned up the radio. My mother borrowed my car for a road trip (good mileage), so I had to reset the station to my favorite, 69.6, a classic rock station in my area. I smiled as “Everything They Do is Magic” by The Police came on.

I sang along, changing the pronouns from non-binary to male, cause you know, I like dick (among other things, just right now I am focusing on ‘Magnolia’s’ dick), and shit I shouldn’t think of this right now…

I drove down the Main Street of my small town, I saw an elderly lady on the sidewalk she seemed to be struggling with her door. Quickly pulling over I asked her, “Ma'am may I help you with something?”

“Oh, you're too sweet! Would you mind helping me put my key in the keyhole? You see, these old arthritis hands, that used to be oh so good at chopping and opening doors but now, they just ache and shake, I can't catch a break.” The woman said as she handed me the key.

Quickly I inserted it and turned it in the lock. I grabbed her bags of groceries from the sidewalk, that she had put down earlier, and moved them to next to the door. I didn’t bring them all the way in because even if she is an elderly lady… stranger danger. She thanked me again and I was back on my way.

Once I reached the school, I quickly double-checked the contents of my backpack, making sure I had the Odyssey packed in case I get bored during lunch or break.

I walked towards the school building, paying no mind to the crowd of VSCO thots and their corresponding horny jocks, nor any of the other groups until I saw, walking towards the school, that handsome, Latino, tallboy, with those emerald green eyes.

“Miguel!” I called.

“Hey! I read that article on the kids debating and being hospitalized that you emailed me. How has your morning been so far, E***?”
