Luna woke up from a dreamless sleep and glanced at his watch with a grateful smile. He slept for more than eight hours that he felt enormously revitalized. He silently rolled to his left, expecting to see his twin brother still soundly sleeping but Sol was already wide awake and checking their bags once again.
“Why do you keep on checking our bags?” Luna curiously asked as he moved out of the bed and sat beside his twin. “You can only see Carl’s clothes in there and quite a handful toiletries. Dr. Jerami assured us that everything she gave us is clean and brand new. Are you still worrying if Carl used it?”
“What’s the difference if I wear clothes that he already used? This is his body,” he reminded Luna with a glare. “I only wanted to make sure that we packed everything that we might need. We will be traveling long. We should be well-prepared.”
“You don’t have to bring plenty of clothes,” Dr. Jerami said as she stood at the staircase landing. “They provide quality laundry service at every hotel where we will be staying.”
“Then I guess this is enough,” Sol sighed and zipped the bags closed then glanced inquiringly at the doctor. "When are we leaving?”
“In two hours,” Dr. Jerami kindly replied. “We need to eat breakfast and fill our stomach. It will take six hours with only a single stop over before we reach Tamaran Village.”
“Okay,” Sol agreed. “We will join you later after Luna takes a shower.”
“We’ll wait at the dining room,” Dr. Jerami said before descending the staircase.
“Take a quick shower,” Sol had thrown a towel at Luna.
“How about you?” Luna asked as he approached the comfort room.
“I already took a shower while you were soundly sleeping,” Sol answered after resting his back comfortably on the bed. “I’ll take a nap. Wake me up after you’re done.”
“Okay,” Luna promised before entering the comfort room and shutting the door closed.

After an hour, Sol and Luna had finally joined Dr. Jerami, Alfred, Grandma Romera, and Grandpa Emmanuel at the dining table.
They were having breakfast. Dr. Jerami was always preparing plenty of dishes for everyone that Sol and Luna felt like they were staying at a high class hotel. Everything she made was not only delightful to the tongue but also pleasant to the eyes. She must have taken a culinary course aside from her medical practice.
“We will not come with you,” Grandma Romera declared, breaking the silence over the dining table.
“Why?” Dr. Jerami asked with a look of anxiety and dismay.
“We walked around this town earlier and saw that some residents need our help,” Grandpa Emmanuel replied. “This place is not as bad as the towns we passed by,” he proudly smiled at Dr. Jerami and Alfred. “You did a nice job protecting this place. But if all of us will leave, sins might take that opportunity to turn this town like the ones we passed by.”
“Martin helps from time to time,” Alfred admitted.
“Why do you have to mention that man? He is not here. He cannot help us in protecting this town,” Grandma Romera snapped at him.
“He also taught his twins well,” Dr. Jerami added. “We can see how strong their souls are. It’s all because Martin had guided them the best that he can. He had done a lot better than Alfred and I when it comes to raising children,” she wiped her eyes that suddenly brimmed with tears.
“It’s the only thing that he did right after leaving Archway Town,” Grandma Romera retorted. “And why do you keep on mentioning him?!”
“Because it is not only Dr. Jerami and Alfred who kept this town strong but also Martin,” Grandpa Emmanuel kindly replied as he held the hand of his wife. "He did not fully abandon his gift."
“But still…”
“We should not keep them here for long,” Grandpa Emmanuel gently interrupted his wife. “They will be traveling for hours. They should leave as early as they can.”
“Fine,” Grandma Romera breathed in annoyance. “Leave now and come back as soon as you can.”
“Send updates as often as you can,” Grandpa Emmanuel added.
“Thank you for choosing to guard this place in our stead,” Dr. Jerami embraced her grandparents. “Keep safe.”
“You better get going,” Grandma Romera advised.
“Are you ready to leave?” Alfred glance at Sol and Luna who were already up on their feet, holding bacon and cheese sandwiches in their hands.
“Let’s go,” they eagerly chorused then glanced at the old couple. “We will see you again, Grandma Romera and Grandpa Emmanuel.”
“Stay safe,” Grandpa Emmanuel smiled and gave them a pat on their shoulder while Grandma Romera only nodded and urged them to leave.
