The bell rang loud in the halls after homeroom check-in. Teenagers flooded the hallways, going to their lockers and chatting with their friends. Riley went straight to Ivy's locker to wait for her. Ivy and Riley had been friends since elementary school. She was also an artist and her work was usually lined with doodles and drawings of a character that greatly resembled her emotions and feelings. Most of the teachers were fine with this, she had really good grades and was a hard working student.
Art class was next. Riley and Ivy climbed down the main stairwell and walked down the art and tech hallway. They stepped into the art room and found Jessa, Ann and Kanjellah waiting at the back table for them. "Ivy! come sit with us!" Ann called out, "Riley, you too!" They went over to the table and sat down. Riley pulled out her sketchbook and started drawing. The art teacher yelled at the class to stop yelling. It worked, believe it or not. The class got quiet and the lesson began. She talked about sculpture and clay. we were going to make clay tiles, but first we had to plan it out in our sketchbooks. The students pulled out paper and pencils. And started to create.
